I don't mean to imply I think he should. I would have been starting Tua by about mid season last year. It's just what I think Saban will do but I sure hope I'm wrong. I also am not as sure about it since Jalen's stupid comments the other day. Honestly, I wish he'd just transfer now but it's not going to happen.

I think Hurts will start vs Louisville. I also think both qbs will have predetermined series for the first game and perhaps the 2nd game. By the 3rd game I think it's Tua's team.

I'm certainly not going to stick my neck out and guarantee that Tua starts, but I'd be incredibly surprised if he didn't, and not just because of the obvious advantage in the passing game.

What's the one thing that Saban has said umpteen times about who will be the starter? Whoever wins the locker room. And while I'm certainly not an "insider", I just can't imagine Hurts "winning the locker room." I think it's Tua's locker room to lose.

I think the best thing Tua could do to help his career going forward would be to have a nice long talk with Braxton Miller...actually, to just sit there and listen to Miller's advice...because while Hurts could have a future in the NFL, it won't be at QB. Seriously...look at Miller's career trajectory. And let's remember...Miller didn't get yanked because he sucked. But when he returned, he clearly wasn't the team's best option at QB.

I didn't mean to imply that I thought you wanted him to start . I expect Tua to win the job. With that being said I totally disagree with you about him transferring. One minor transgression that can be resolved with a simple conversation is not worth losing an important player. Even if he is the second string QB, a platoon with Mac or Tua, or insurance in case Mac needs to play and craps the bed he needs to be on this team. He has been nothing but positive up until this point and it would a waste of a scholarship. We are better off with Jalen on this team if he is committed.

Can we please not do this shite again? Just make a decision and stick with it.

Amen. Nick Saban needs to be "bold" and tell Jalen he's 2nd string. The sooner the better. This is getting ridiculous

I don't care one way or the other what #2 does. I just hope to read that #13 is getting better everyday at playing QB and if that is the case he will be The Man regardless whether #2 stays.

Alabama QB Jalen Hurts on Nick Saban saying he wasn't sure if he'd be on the roster for the season opener: "I was kind of shocked he said that. ... I told him like I'll tell you today, that I'm going to be here.”

(1) Jalen Hurts certainly didn't mince words today.

"There’s been a lot of rumors, a lot of speculation about things that have gone on this summer....

(2) ...The funny part for me is the people making decisions for me. It’s actually kind of good to see you all, I kind of feel like they’ve been hiding me from you all. There’s been a lot going on, a lot of things being said...
(3)...Everybody has something to say, everybody has an opinion. The funniest thing about it is I’ve never said a thing. I kept my mouth closed, didn’t say anything to anyone....
(4)...Regardless, people are believing the things that are being said, it’s hard to believe something when the number-one source didn’t say anything."

With this bullsh1t and his dad babbling, I’m so ready for Hurts to be gone. Please get the hell out of here

Thread: Saban and the players handling this, well, just like you'd expect.
