I disagree with the Tua comp for sure but everyone can see the ball comes off of his and Keelons hand so much different than Ty’s.

Beating UGA in Athens wasn’t a big win? What do you consider a big win?

The hardest pill to swallow is not having the Saban standard anymore, but we knew that was going to be the case regardless of who replaced him.
Saban couldn't meet his own standard any more with the structure of modern CFB/NIL/portal, etc. It's pretty clear that was the main reason he retired. He would've coached a few more years, no doubt.

I hate to break this to you, but the chin isn't where they took it.

If DeBoer doesn't fire some assistants, there's a good chance they all will be fired a year from now.

DeBoer is a quiet personality but the fire is there and the players yesterday, even the Saban guys, made it clear they’re behind him. Pretty sure his personality is fine.
Has he fired any assistants yet? That's where you'll learn the truth about his personality.

We have elite talent
Do we really?
If we do, it just confirms the fact that most of our position coaches are utterly incompetent.

I wish they took one on the chin. More like they got knocked out from a bitch slap and proceeded to get curb stomped. It was pretty much what Bama did to Michigan St in the 2015 playoffs.

Yes but some of those positional unit coaches shouldn’t be coming back. Having 48 rushing yards combined in 3 games is beyond unacceptable.

Right? We’re supposed to feel optimism because we suffered the worst loss in nearly 30 years.
I don’t even think DeBoer himself could pay someone to put out propaganda like that.

It’s debatable that this season was a step forward
Finishing around #120 in rushing YPG and rushing YPC isn't at all a step forward.
Not being able to run the football drastically inhibits a team's ability to win.
To start with, if you can't run the football, you're obviously getting your asses pushed around on the OL. Teams that don't control the line of scrimmage don't beat good teams.
Second, if you can't run the football, you end up running stupid shite on 3rd and 1, or 4th and 1, because you don't have the ability to just run power and pick up a damn yard...and the other team knows you can't.
Third, you're always going to be looking at 2nd and 8, 9, or 10, instead of 2nd and 4, 5, or 6. Now your options as a play caller are more limited.
Fourth, you can't effectively protect a lead late.
Finally, if you can't run the football, you're going to get your QB killed.
In any discussion of the top 5 QBs of the last 20 years of Alabama football, no one is going to mention John Parker Wilson. But in 2008 he was likely less than 10 minutes away from winning a national championship. That team could run the football and didn't get manhandled on the OL. They had the ability to impose their will on the OL and wear down opponents.

Every coach who impacts the running game...including S&C...should have been fired this morning. Period. Not even debatable.

For all the talk of how college football has changed, the same thing wins that always has - big, strong, fast, disciplined teams that play with a common purpose.

They killed us when we played man. That was more a scrimmage to them. They covered everything we did with ease.
Looked much like the 1971 Bama vs Nebraska NC game. Bama was never in the game from the kickoff.
Whoaaaa Rich Glover just wrecked the Bama QB again.

Mack hit that nice 34 yard pass and then hit a 16 yard pass to wide open Cuevas. Those two passes gave him 50 yards. Then he had 53 yards on his remaining nine completions with an average length of under 6 yards. Comparing that to Tua in 2017 is head spinning.
Mack also knew how to run and when to get down when he got there
