Loved the interview. Najee is irreverent and doesn't take himself too seriously. The whole inter view was done in that mode and he played right along. He provided some good insights into our program and told us why he decided to come here and play.
Do not think he was dissing Alabama fans at all,he just said it sounded weird to him to be cussed at in a Southern drawl; heck the radio guys were even making fun of their own Pittsburgh accents and how the Steeler fans would sound if he happened to be drafted there.

This back and forth is silly. It made me laugh when he was talking about speaking to Sark about having to run all the motions. It is funny the accent part too to me cause the accents of some African Americans in cities in California have a drawl very similar to a southern accent. Especially the Bay area. Everytime I hear Marshawn Lynch I think about that. Probably western migration.

Najee seem like a funny chill dude.
Knowing what our fan base can be like no telling what kind of crap was thrown out there. Some of our fanbase aren't the most sane and stable types, especially when drunk and all hyped up at game time........and yeah, it probably is odd for a kid from the Bay Area to here a bunch of crazy rednecks yelling at him "Run Da Dayum Baw" in that thick "country" accent. Probably a little bit of culture shock for him. I think he loves Bama and the time he spent there and is appreciative of what Bama did for him.

First point, Najee came here to be center stage, and in truth, probably prefers the crazy fans here to west coast's absent ones.
He's just trying to be the sophisticated Californian. But wait till is playing in Vegas or Jacksonville in some sleepy half full stadium. He will miss the insanity.
And as for the least appreciative player, how about Mike Shula, who graduated and never came back to campus, except to take the head job. Then, once removed never returned again.

He literally said he loves the atmosphere and it was a big reason why he came. And the jokes he made were light hearted and not meant as disrespect to Bama's entire fanbase. If you don't believe there's some over the top, batshit crazy Bama fans, then you've just have never been to BamaOnline's boards. Or Tide Fans.
I thought it was funny as hell.

Wasn't me scooter. You'd lose that bet. His cussing all during the interview and making fun of the fans and their southern accents was great. Dumb arse.....
So you're a construction manager on the gulf coast, and cussing offends you? How have you survived that job with such thin skin? Do you also think Mardi Gras is the devil's holiday?
I always say, of you can't laugh at yourself, you're probably an a-hole. And if you can't laugh at parts of your own culture, then you probably also can't see the positive about other's. Lighten up, laugh, and enjoy life more. Because if you think that was offensive, then you're a snowflake looking for reasons to be offended.
