I assume new accounts are either trolls or college aged kids 20-25. Then add their account start date to that window and you get pretty close.
That is thrown off a bit by the older banned people and alters, and by the older pre-2010 group that had some older population start. And large migrations of folks from other fan boards that shutdown
Sadly, I think it is the older population that act the most childish. Outside of some of the brash idiots whose assholery and narrow minded bias come through in their posting, my guess is that most are okay people IRL and simply like busting balls in an anonymous environment. The support for CD validates that to a large degree for me.
That said, it used to have more conversation and more use. Now, it is 90%+ trolling and almost miserable to be on at times.

The creation of the team boards and recruiting boards ruined the SECrant of being much of anything but trolling.
All the news that gets posted here now... used to be posted there. Along with all the other teams relateable news.
Once the teams boards came, if you posted anything postive newsworthy about your team you were told to take it to the team board. The only news accepted was negative news about other teams or your own...
Troll board.

When there is no moderation of any kind except against anti-LSU stuff... it will always devolve sadly.

Much truth in this. The 8 game streak didn't help either in tampering LSU angst towards all things Bama success related by so many LSU posters

Yeah, it's surprisingly good for breaking news. Somebody will pick up on a story and post it there almost immediately.
And like JustGetItRight said, the humor element just gets me. I laugh my arse off nearly every day at something, although the O-T Lounge is usually consistently the funniest.
There are plenty of pay sites that fluff your team if you're into that (I am too), but to me tRant is unique for the trash talking element, which just makes football more fun.

There’s a fair bit of good stuff over there. I particularly seek out the stats and actual football discuss threads, but some people over there do get really butthurt really easily about stats. They seem to always assume there is an agenda
