I know this is super inconvenient but I’m at a birthday party with my kid so this delay is helping me out big time.

I had the exact same conversation and that’s all it is to it. You single fellows in here, you MUST have this conversation prior to proposing. And when you have children, you must have this conversation with them about not getting married in the fall. Of course this does not include an open date.

I'll do whatever and sacrifice my hobby or personal time for 6 days and 20 hours a week during football season, but during the other 4 I'll be watching the Bama game or listening to it on the radio unless there's a genuine emergency. She still gripes about it, but I was up front about it during the first football season that came up while we were dating.”

Also something of note is they are playing away from home while against us they had the mystery of surprise because we didn't have real film on them and they had great crowd energy and support

Mine wife was fully on board. Didn’t even have to have the conversation; it was understood. No fall or outdoor summer weddings in the south

The thing for me is, my wife typically understands this but because it’s a birthday party for someone at church she threw the rule out the window.
