Rivals Rankings Talk: Analysts predict landing spots for top prospects

quote:

CHAD SIMMONS, SOUTHEAST ANALYST: Arik Gilbert

This one could still have a few more twists and turns, but for now Alabama is my pick. This was all Georgia this time a year ago, and even early in 2019, but things started to shift early in the spring and now as we enter the fall the in-state school is likely running third on Gilbert's list. Alabama has convinced Gilbert that he can be the next O.J. Howard or Irvin Smith and be in line to make a lot of plays in its offense. Tennessee has to be considered a true contender, and a sleeper to keep an eye on is Clemson. The Tigers had Gilbert on campus over the weekend, and Dabo Swinney and his program have jumped back in this race.

A decision will likely come late in the season after all five official visits have been taken, but at this time all are chasing Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide.

The article also has predictions for Justin Flowe, Zach Evans and Jordan Burch.

Trinity Bell is a new name to know in Alabama

He's a 6'7" 250 pound DE in the Class of 2021 from Albertville.

Ask Farrell: Who wins hyped Mater Dei-St. Frances matchup?

quote:

Mater Dei is led by USC commit Bryce Young, Washington pledge Myles Murao, a killer wide receiver corps with Kody Epps, Cristian Dixon, Kyron Ware-Hudson, CJ Williams and others and then 2021 standouts Raesjon Davis and Jaylin Davies lead the defense along with 2020 defensive back Domani Jackson.

quote:

Baltimore St. Frances has even more high-level FBS prospects on a roster that includes Alabama commit Chris Braswell, LSU pledges Jordan Toles and Demon Clowney, Michigan commits Osman Savage, Blake Corum and Nikhai Hill-Green, Tennessee pledge Dominic Bailey, and Oregon commit Luke Hill.

Agreed, but people shouldn't get their panties in a wad when others want to bring stuff to this thread. This thread has always been a MEGA THREAD where almost everything is talked about during the recruiting season.

Off my soapbox now.
BOL Article hinting that QB Brice Young is more in play now than ever. I guess the "recruiting is fluid" definitely plays a part in this.

It makes me wonder if Bryce Young is a silent commit and has been for a while. I'm not mad.

FWIW, Boz said he was a silent commit a few weeks back.

That's some serious talent at QB if its true. Mac Jones, Paul Tyson, Taulia, Drake Maye (2021). Someone's gonna leave.

When SC fires Helton and hires Urban or Stoops in December that might change. "Silently" committing to program B when he's publicly committed to program A just means he's ensuring himself a landing spot while maintaining the luxury of a wait and see approach.
