2021 QB Dematrius Davis from Northshore HS in Houston is a name to know. He and teammate Shadrack Banks visited UA in late July. Damieon George and Zach Evans play at Northshore HS. Bama hasn't offered Davis yet, though.

It would be interesting to see where Deion Sander's kid would fall on the list if we needed a second QB in that class.

Xavion Alford has 11 new CBs to Texas A&M since Aug 8, including 2 A&M mods & Wiltfong.

Yeah, it's looking like Alford might commit to A&M at any time. We may only have room for two more DBs and need a couple of CBs more than a pure safety like Alford. It looks like we might get CB/S Joel Williams and CB Nadab Joseph to complete the DB class.

I like those two,NJoseph and JWilliams, would be a very good haul.
Is Arian Smith not an option anymore ? That speed is so enticing.

I agree. I'd be happy with that DB haul:
Defensive Backs (4-6)
4* S/CB/WR Brian Branch 6-0/182 GA hudl
4* S/CB Malachi Moore 6-0/180 AL hudl
4* CB Jahquez Robinson 6-1.5/190 FL hudl *
4* CB/S/WR Joel Williams 6-1.5/180 LA hudl
4* CB Nadab Joseph 6-2/193 Juco hudl
Arian Smith said he's decided to take his time. He's seriously considering UGA, UF, Bama and Clemson and will take his OVs before making a decision. Similarly, Xavier Henderson will take OVs to Clemson, UF, Bama, UGA and maybe LSU before deciding.

Thanks. But a lot of the credit for "smoothly" goes to all of the fans who post in here. They're great about evaluating and sharing thoughts on players' talent and skills, discussing recruiting battles, etc. without getting too emotionally caught up in it, not being homers or pessimists who get into silly disputes, keeping the thread relaxed but also on topic well enough, bringing the funny, etc.
My main focus is on maintaining the first page based framework so it's current and accurate, and posting only pertinent news -- in a manner that makes it easy for them to become and stay well informed and contribute, as they do so well.
For example, Carlton deserves the credit for inventing that Timelines post concept. He created and maintained it last year. His design was prettier. He captured and used images like the 1st post in the LSUrb pinned FB thread has. Then I came up with the idea of having a link to it's latest edition in this thread's 1st post and adding the 247 scheduled commits links to it.
I think it's our collective "team spirit" that makes this thread function so well and so smoothly.

Our board is just thread after thread. I can imagine they don’t want so many “stickies” but damn it’s a mess. But I’ve started to keep up with Bama most because. Thanks for letting be post here fellas.

I think most, if not all, feel you are very welcome to post here. You do it the right way.
A bigger poster population typically results in a messier board. That even happens to some degree on pay sites like BamaOnline. Not as badly though, since they're moderated more.

I wish this board/site could be setup like VN. Without their posters of course as they are very sensitive over there.

I agree, the design and features on VolNation are very nice, but the posters ruin most of the active recruit threads with prolonged disputes, non-recruiting and non-football discussions. Hunting, fishing, music, I hate Bammers.... you name it.
They'll have 10-15 pages of crap without a single post about that recruit. I hardly ever even lurk there anymore. I used to because they post a lot of premium Rivals stuff. But it's not worth the amount of scrolling through crap that it takes to find it.
And like you said, The BVS (Battered Vols Syndrome) has gotten real bad. I had to quit posting there. Too many of them couldn't handle my presence. I was getting swarmed if I posted anything.

I feel you as I am not well liked there either. They even ran off their own good posters.

Natural skateboarder to Alabama commit
LINK
When Javon Baker was a kid, his present choice for one Christmas puzzled his dad, Jerald Baker.
“What do you want from Christmas?” Jerald asked a young Javon.
“A skateboard,” Javon answered.
“Have you ever ridden a skateboard,” Jerrald asked.
“No, but I will learn,” Javon said.
Not only did Javon insist his dad buy him a skateboard that Christmas, but he also wanted a customized one. Jerald came through and brought Javon the skateboard as an early Christmas present on Dec. 23. By Dec. 26, Jerald Baker heard a knock at his door. On the other side of the door stood an older kid, who had been riding skateboards for years.
The older kid began to ask Jerald how long Javon had been riding skateboards and Jerald told him only a couple of days, which left the older kid startled.
“He said, no you are telling a story, I do not believe that, he is sliding off rails and doing all type of stuff,” Jerald Baker said. “As far as being an athlete, Javon has been blessed with that talent. He is just as good at basketball as he is at football. He has always been like a fish out of the water.”
Javon has blossomed from a skateboard fanatic to one of the top wide receivers in the nation. All roads look to lead to Tuscaloosa for Javon as he is verbally committed to the Tide. The Georgia product has also risen up most recruiting rankings as he put on great performances at national camps throughout the Summer.

Javon’s competitiveness helped him steal the show at the Nike Opening Regional in Atlanta, where he won the wide receiver MVP award. Cam Newton’s 7v7 team also showcased Javon’s talent during their summer circuit. Throughout each event, a competitive attitude has accompanied Javon, which is something Jerald Baker said comes naturally to the 4-Star recruit.
“He is blessed with it, but what he does with it is, he make sure whatever team he is on, he is the alpha dog,” Jerald Baker added. “He is not going to say too much. He is going to lead by example. He will take the team and put them on his back if he has to.”
The alpha dog mentality Jerald Baker speaks of will have to accompany Javon at the next level as he could join an Alabama locker room filled with players with a similar attitude. The Crimson Tide got a commitment from Baker on Nov. 25, making Javon the Tide’s second 2020 wide receiver commit at that point.

The love Nick Saban and his staff shown Javon played a large role in his decision and it is what has both of Baker’s parents all in on the Tide.
“I love Alabama,” Jerald said. “I love how much love they have shown my family and my son. It means a lot to me, that Javon chose Alabama because of the tradition there and the fact that he is motivated enough to want to take on the challenge. Alabama has a tradition because of Nick Saban and a lot of coaches, who have coached up under him say he is a stickler or he is hard. Saban is just disciplined and Javon is willing to take on that challenge.”
Academics is also very important in the Baker home as both of Javon’s parents hold Master Degrees. Javon plans to pick a major associated with media to continue the Baker academic prestige.
“The main goal for him is I want him to get a degree,” Jerrald said. “The goal we talked about thoroughly is graduating. We do not want to be a three and done. I want him to enjoy the entire experience.”
Alabama’s 2020 class is expected to end with at least four wide receivers committed to join Baker. Some athletic skateboard like catches could be headed to Bryant-Denny Stadium in a couple of years.
