The fact that it happened twice in a row is pretty foreboding. I am almost scared to see how he will look against fricking Tennessee.

Yeah I'd be a lot less worried if it was only Ole Miss because their defense looks stout. Arky does not have a great defense.

The unfortunate part to is that the SECCG and the playoffs, should we get there (insert Jim Mora playoffs meme) is that these games are going to be played away from home with likely far superior defenses to what we faced tonight.

Florida was a superior defense and we shredded them... This is simply a rough patch.. We will be ok.. MARK MY WORDS!!

Saban doesn't seem too worried

quote:

“There’s a lot of things that we can correct. There’s a lot of things that we can better. But when your players play with that kind of heart, you’ve got to be really proud of them for the way they competed in the game, how hard they played. They did that, and my hat’s off to them.”

quote:

“I’m really proud of the way our players competed in the game, how they hung there in the end,” Saban said, “and did a fantastic job.”

Saban likes to pick guys up when they are down and reel them in when they are too high. But it's gonna take more than a positive attitude to fix our problems.

Somehow the heart comments feel like they should only be directed at the defense. They played like warriors.

I feel like the heart comments when directed towards the offense sound like a participation ribbon of sorts. "Congrats, you came in seventh place out of seven competitors. Here is your trophy."

Agreed. I was more worried about the offense or STs turning it over and letting Arky score than I was about the defense letting them drive the field. The DL and JK Scott won us this game. X. Dickson, Robinson, Reed, Allen, Tomlinson, Pettway, and Anderson gave us championship level play tonight.

ALL IS WELL!!!!

I don't see how anyone could watch our last two games and feel good about things going forward. Our best game was against a trainwreck of program in Florida. Non of the stupid issues that have been prevalent all year have gone away. Our offense has no identity and our defense, while good, still makes you hold your breathe on 3rd and long. I don't need to mention our special teams.

Recognizing that we have some serious issues doesn't mean people are panicking or giving up on the team. I'd love to see them play to their potential and go on a Florida 2008 kind of run. But this team has exhibited nothing for me to think they will do that.

Idk how freaked out everyone is or whatever... I think it's plain and simple. The offense looks bad. It's -very- confusing because we started our first 4 games looking legit. Now, it's like it's ALL gone. Poof.

That's cause for concern. It's just a game, but if we're placing opinions out there then what's the harm in calling a spade a spade?

Offense has no run game and no chemistry. No consistency. And we sure seem to love penalties. We got a LOT to work on.

Saban looked like he was about to start cutting people.

The right side of our OL played terrible. We had absolutely no success running to the right side at all.
