I just don’t see Ruggs staying. He’s been in every first round mock I’ve seen
I think the players are listening more to what the NFL is saying and not what Todd McShay is saying.

I’d love to be wrong, but I just don’t see it
Ruggs/Smith/Waddle would be amazing.

Well mock drafts this far out are usually guessing too.
This is a deep receiver class. I could see him coming back.

Ruggs is a different breed of cat.
He's been mocked in the first a lot, but at the back end of the first. It's the deepest WR class in a decade, so teams could opt to wait unless they're absolutely in love with a guy. He's not a one trick pony, but his game is more speed merchant than complete receiver at this point.
You couple that, with how this season ended and him losing his best friend that pushed him to football (and bama) in the first place, I don't think it's far fetched that he comes back. Particularly if Tua comes back. He might be a first rounder, but he can also improve his draft stock.

He's coming back..but let's be honest about Mcmillon. He was a 5th year player with almost no playing time coming in. Great story but you have to question the talent there.

We kind of hit the perfect storm of guys coming back
- Lots of guys with low 1st/early 2nd grades, which means they are very good players but likely can bump their stock to mid/high 1st round with a good senior year
- Coming off a disappointing junior year team wise
- A pretty tight group with a leader on each side of the ball, each of which was injured during the year and directly helped lead to the disappointment
- Prior year draft in which 2 guys leaving early who thought they'd be 1st-2nd round picks were drafted in the 5th round

Great news. 2 very good ILBs from Baton Rouge next year
It's actually 3 of our 4 starting linebackers next year.
Dylan Moses, Christian Harris, and Christopher Allen all went to University Lab in Baton Rouge.

Yep - Ruggs could go from a fringe 1st rounder to a top 10 pick with a big senior season. That's significant in terms of actual money earned in his rookie season.

Lot of these guys fit that mold - Tua, Ruggs, Smitty, Leatherwood, Moses and maybe even McKinney.

Only change I would make is Dickerson slides to guard and Dalcourt takes C spot.

Ruggs is a straight line speed guy. He does not have the cuts of a twitch guy. His route running and separation cuts need some work. If he can improve on his route running he would likely be a top 10 guy. Without the route running, he is a smallish speed guy trying to compete in a Randy Moss world.

Update I got today...
It’s almost inevitable that Ruggs, Smith, Leatherwood, McKinney and Tua are coming back.
Wills 50/50
Jeudy and Najee are gone
And of course Terrell Lewis is gone too

McMillon may be the only one that understands/knows the defense well enough to call the plays on the field with confidence. He was supposedly set to call the plays this year until he went down. Kid graduated with a Mechanical Engineering degree. The defense probably isn't too complex for him.
Hopefully, Moses has been staying up to speed and continuing to learn the defense.
