All of our successful runs to the right were against Mercer, NMST, Miami, and southern MS if I had to guess.
They were not successful against Ark, AU, TAMU, or LSU.
I did not see the OM or MSU games and do t remember FL but if we were successful against FL, it was only the first half.

I dont think Mullen appreciated that kirby half time rant that got out. That was pretty embarrassing for Mullen, and probably didn't help his situation with his employer. I wouldn't be shocked at all if Mullen was more than willing to help with some analysis for the game.
Chris Leary is the type of player that Mullen has had a lot of success finding a role for in his offenses. Would love for him to find a way to get 12 a few touches.

My big issue with "running right" vs "running left" is not the total runs on the season, and how they've been distributed, but rather all the critical 4th and 1 or 3rd and 1 situations this year that we ran right or up the middle instead of "running left" behind Neal.
That's where the weird disparity has seemingly been IMO. If it's 4th and 1 I'm running behind 73 not 55 or 79.
Also I see Shane Lee on special teams, and he looks to have outgrown ILB so will we ever see him get a chance at FB ? I bet Lee would be happy to get the dirty work done.

I was able to watch a little bit of practice last week and Leary was FUN to watch. The first thing I said after watching him with the RBs was he reminded me of Percy Harvin. Mullen would have lots of fun with him.

5. All the people that said "we dont have the talent," do you see now what happens when the coaches get guys playing proper technique, and give them a scheme that gives them a chance ? Looking a lot more "talented" now, eh ? Coaches have to coach and develop... period.
If this O Line play holds up through the playoffs, then I definitely need to eat crow on this topic. I am not an OL expert, but UA's OL looked totally overwhelmed all season from either a talent or S&C standpoint. If it is coaching, then I'm sure glad someone FINALLY realized the issue.
Even if Georgia put themselves in bad positions through strategy/scheme on defense, that game made their strength look very very mortal.

I have so much respect for Shane Lee coming in that year and giving it his all. Would be nice to see some sort of bigger role.

Shane Lee gave his all to that team. He was put in a rough situation. Played with guts. Dude is all BAMA.

3. Did anyone notice our plan vs their ILB blitz was to form a wedge with the guards blocking inward ? Seth, Cohen, and Emil created a wedge directly in the middle of the OL, and it worked flawlessly. Not only did we pick up their blitz, but the more guys they brought the harder it was to get through because of the wall that was created at the wedge point
So I got a chance to rewatch the game last night, and it's even better than I thought. Watching live I missed a few things.
They created that "wedge" when they sensed the two ILB blitz through the A gap which UGA has done a lot of, and they tried to do it to Bama a lot with no success.
What Bama did was pull the guards straight back, and the Tackles blocked inward, and the guards cleaned up the rest. Once the tackles had the ILB trapped in that wedge the wall of bodies became a brick wall up front. It worked amazingly well a few times. The more rushers they brought the more impenetrable those gaps became.

It was beauiful sight to see, and yet... in 2nd half.. what happened? Did we let off the gas?

They probably adjusted their scheme would be my guess.
We are still going to have a lot of work to do scheme wise if we face them again.
Hopefully the team and oline specifically has gained a lot of confidence that will translate to continued success.

The 2nd half was definitely less explosive, but let's keep in mind we still would have had the following if you extrapolated it over an entire game
58 plays
382 yards
20 off pts
6.58 YPP
The most UGA had given up to date
387 yards
17 pts
4.83 YPP
And we definitely were in kill clock mode for our last 3 drives, as well, meaning we weren't going tempo which helped with a ton of 2nd qtr success.
So, while not as insane as the 1st half, we still had success in the 2nd half. And we also were adjusting on the fly without our co-#1 WR who was a huge piece AND trying to massage the clock with short passes and runs.

I was extremely impressed with our last drive (that resulted in the field goal). It wasn't QUITE like the 2020 game (where we kept the ball the last, what, six-and-a-half minutes?), but it was very, very similar.
Georgia KNEW we were gonna try to kill as much clock as possible, and we STILL went on a 12-play, five-minute drive to ice the game. Against the best defense in the country.
It was wonderful to watch.

Saturday was the first time in a while our RBs seemed to be looking to jump cut and pop one outside the edge on an inside run. It almost looked coached.
Trey looked very good at it and has 2-3 nice runs with it.
