Very obvious copy and paste skills from the 247 article. What’s your point?

Who cares? Lol. Numbers don’t lie. I very much care we improve statistically.

Bama won 2 more games than the year before with a more difficult schedule. If we have shitty stats but win 13 games next year I'll be happy.

My point is that stats aren’t really the only way to gauge improvement in a football season when win loss record and post season is all that matters. If you think statistical improvement is so important you should be happier with the stats in our loss to Oklahoma this year than our win, because statistically we were better during the loss, except for one category…turnovers.

No one would be upset with the lack of a running game if we kept winning.

Too 5 on paper but sure as hell not too 5 where it counts. The ship has been taking on water since 2021-2022 and you cannot deny that. People forget the 21/22 title game where we couldn’t find one semi skilled player on the roster to at least make a catch. In 2022 we couldn’t string together 3 consecutive plays without 30 yards of false start penalties.

Idiots like you will just never learn.

Nick Saban isn’t walking back through that door. If he did he couldn’t replicate his run. You remember he got out for a reason, he saw the disaster the portal has become before the rest of us knew how bad it’s gotten.

If there’s the next Nick Saban out there we could possibly hire, by all means trot him out because as of today there is no better coach we can get.

You’re bitching because we aren’t dominant anymore. Guess what, with the portal the shitshow that it’s become no one is going to be. A third….THIRD of all players are in the portal. The days of stacking up a roster and developing players is flat out over until that changes.

You can get by with younger talent at WR, DB, RB and even LB. But you can’t in the trenches unless they’re exceptional. Our best OL was a transfer, Brailsford. Carroll looks like a winner, but we need either some experienced beef coming in or some SO backups to take a big step forward or we aren’t running the ball on anyone next year either.

And no we can't afford 10 million a year for 6 years without sacrificing NIL.

Seems like if we have that kind of money to spend, just add it to NIL rather than firing the coach would be the more sensible thing to do. But I agree, I don’t think we have that kind of cash sitting around

I think that is the decision Ohio State boosters made after their bottoming out with Day in 2023. They decided it was cheaper to give him a roster that some years is too talented for him to choke on.

I think Alabama power brokers probably should feel the same way. If they're thinking about dropping 60m to make him go away, they probably should find 5-10m more in roster payroll first and see what happens.
