I don’t care about the downvotes, I do care about people possibly thinking I’m agreeing with this ignoramus in any shape, form or fashion. He’s never gotten over 2023 where we’re concerned.

It's pretty much a rule at all levels of sports. Any sighting of lightning in the area mandates a delay. In Tennessee, with the TSSAA, it might not be raining a drop, but if lightning is sighted in the area, you're going to the locker room for at least 45 minutes.

It’s probably a good rule, lightning has been brutal in sw AL lately…going thru a lightning storm now. Last Friday, it hit a huge pine about 50’ from my house, and still managed to knock out my AC unit and tv antenna. I was up on the roof before the game on Saturday trying to fix it before the game.
