Derrek Cooper, 5 Star RB. Was committed to Miami and due to announce on July 12 but just called off his announcement date last week.

That wasn't my intention with my response.
We'd likely lose the RB from Tampa we just got a commitment from last week if Cooper were to come aboard.

I agree, but honestly I went back and watched the videos of both of these guys and I couldn’t tell much difference in the 2. I’m by no means an expert on high school football recruiting, but that Tampa kid is massively underrated

Maybe. But 247 has Cooper listed as a safety and a lot of teams are recruiting him as a DB. Maybe we are too.

At some point NIL runs out. I’d imagine they’re holding a spot hoping for Tank Jones. I’d imagine we’re done at RB and WR. Need DL though

Would love to have the guy, but y’all are probably right.
