Ponatoski is a little bit of a wild card because the four-star from Cincinnati (Ohio) Moeller wants to play baseball and football in college. Alabama has emerged as a real contender for him but what if Thomalla flips before Ponatoski makes his decision?
Oregon is also a key player but would the Ducks take him if Lyons commits? If Lyons goes to BYU then Oregon makes way more sense.
Kentucky and Arkansas are the two others in his top four as things shake out.

Do we really want a 6'5 safety he more than likely grow out of that position anyway.

Yes, we do. If he's THAT athletic, you sign him and then figure out where he'll play. We'll be thrilled with Jireh, though.

Just popping in for the first time because I don’t follow recruiting heavily, but even to the more casual fan, it seems like the energy around the program is super positive considering we went 9-4 last year.

He and Jireh Edwards are both scheduled to announce on July 5th. We land those two, in conjunction with Edmonds and Gibson, our secondary is going to be filthy for the next couple years.
