Jackson Fields recently got an invite to our camp. He's the guy who has gone viral on Twitter because of a throw he made to some 4* WR.

We weirdly do better in southern Mississippi. We’ve gotten some Picayune kids, Diberville, Columbia etc.

If it was South Panola or Starkville we’d be fricked

That’s more true in the north than the south. South Mississippi kids have no real allegiance to the in state schools.

Which might be the most bizarre dynamic in all of college sports recruiting. Just so strange.

He's a Class of 2025 kid and there's not much info on him at all, at least that I could find.

247 Profile

The only 247 article he has specifically about him is this one: Big SoCal QB John Gazzaniga has huge coming out party

It's from September of 2023.

ETA: His coach thought he was going to be something special:

quote:

He was inserted in to the game against La Puente (Calif.) Bishop Amat down 21-0 and rallied the Eagles to a 51-45 win. The big 6-7 signal caller was 20-30 for 377 yards and four touchdowns and made some big throws down the field.

His arm strength is effortless and he made some nice throws rolling outside of the pocket as well. He moves well for a big signal caller and his upside is pretty easy to see.

“He’s going to be big time,” Eagles QB coach Ryan Porter said. “He’s still raw in some areas but he’s going to be a national recruit and I’m excited to work with him.

Found his Senior Highlights: HUDL
