The 2024 class had 11 in-state signees.
The 2019 class had 6, the 2020 class had 8, the 2021 class had 5, the 2022 class had 6, and the 2023 class had 8. We've done a better job recruiting lately nationally, which is a good thing.

Im not sure nationally is a great thing with kids leaving for any reason. Can just see the kids from Cali being home sick.

I'd like to see Bama sign 10 in-state players every year...whether it's the top 10 guys or 10 from the top 20. It keeps the HS relationships strong. Bama is a national brand and can recruit nationwide, but I always like having a solid core of in-state players. But with NIL, possibly fewer scholarship players, the TP....it's a different world I know. But not a better one.

I see the point but Bama wouldn't be as good. The state isn't deep enough most years. I don't think you could do that with a state like Texas or California honestly considering the number of kids who don't develop.

Even in the Bryant era, Alabama was supplementing their roster with out of state players. Notably, Namath was from Pennsylvania.
Alabama is a national brand and really has been for quite some time. Alabama's greater reliance on in-state in the early 2000s was mostly a symptom of sanctions.

Derrick Thomas was from Miami. Shaun Alexander from Kentucky. Tua from Hawaii. Minkah from Pennsylvania. Sandkhan from Mississippi.
Some of Alabama’s greatest come from not Alabama.

Minkah is a New Jersey native. But your point stands.

Back to the German pipeline
. Looks like his face got squished from his eyes to his chin, but he is probably just looking into the sun.

He has some decent film. I just want to see us get someone 300 plus.

Just curious. I was looking on the on3 website and Steve Mboumoua and Kevin Riley weren’t shown as being enrolled.

ON3 has Kevin Riley commiting last week for some reason so it is hard to trust their current info
.

247 has he and Mboumoua enrolled on 5/28. I feel pretty confident that Riley signed in December.
