Yep. Per Rodney Orr and others, keep a close eye on Overton. In Tuscaloosa right now (mother works at UA) and sounds like he strongly favors Bama. He reclassified into the 2022 class (was originally a 2023 guy), so he's extremely young for a true sophomore. Had a good freshman season before dealing with nagging injuries all season this year. Has a really big upside. Would be a huge addition.

I had hopes for Hastings, oh well.

I think Ole Miss thinks they're getting Chris Paul.

He'd be a great add. Like you said, he's young, which is a pretty big deal. Was always surprised that he re-classified. Defensive line does not seem like a position where re-classifying is a very good option unless you are just a once in a generation type beast of a man. And even then, grown man 3-4 year trench strength > 17 year old high school kid all day long.

Somebody said we've been in discussion with him but haven't offered. If we offered we'd have a shot, if we don't it's 100% Ole Miss.

Agreed. Bama hasn't made any portal offers to this point.

Overton would be a great pickup. Please make it happen.

I don't see Evan Stewart happening unless we get more WRs hitting the portal. Bond, Prentice, Hale(future star), Law, Benson possibly all return plus Ryan Williams sounds like he's reclassifying.

Is there any chance for Flemming, OSU, if Bama goes for a portal WR?

I think that kid could be terrific in the system. Great blocker, elite speed, and has a big body. He had some injuries early and got lost behind some 1st round talent as an upperclassman.

Benson

I hope he comes back. He looks so close to putting it all together and being a dynamic player.

Xavian Sorey Jr in the portal for UGA. That one is a little surprising.

ETA: Their little kick returner is in the portal too.

I don't get it.

Our recruiting pundits were speculating that Seaton may not sign with the school he selects today. Wonder what they think now?
How did Overton sign with TAMU when he is from Tuscaloosa? How did we let a 5-star DL get away like that? I think he played his football in Georgia, right?

I lived in Boulder for a while. I found it disappointingly clean and boring. The hiking was nice, but I should've ended up in Denver instead. The yuppies ran off the people who helped made it cool a couple decades ago. But I also moved there from New Orleans, so it felt kinda like Mayberry, except with quality psychedelics.

Remember when Bama had a lot of guys hit the portal a couple years ago everyone said Nick lost control of the program…

Georgia now has loads of young talent in the portal and not a peep about Kirby.

Kinda why I fell in love with Golden. It's generally full of hippies and pretty cool people and the best hamburger joint ever, Bob's Atomic, it's a dump on the backside of a liquor store across the street from the Coors brewery.
