2023 DL Rueben Bain shares latest with Alabama, when he may visit next/On3 Paywall

Visiting for TAMU and the Iron Bowl, he is committing to Bama. It is just a matter of time.

Rivals Roundtable: Which 2023 prospect deserves bump into Rivals250?

quote:

FRIEDMAN'S TAKE: Daevin Hobbs

Daevin Hobbs has been dominant this season. The development he has shown from a technical and physical perspective since he burst onto the scene this spring at the Charlotte Rivals Camp has been extremely impressive. He's close to 270 pounds now and uses that added strength to throw opposing players to the side.

Hobbs is playing on both sides of the ball too, showing how effective he can be as a tight end or defensive lineman. His natural athleticism and quickness always gave him a leg up on the competition, but his additional mass and strength have made him much more effective and efficient.

Georgia, Tennessee and Alabama are the main contenders Hobbs is considering.

FWIW, Hobbs is already ranked as a 5-star and the #23 player overall over at On3.

Mario Craver got a CB for Tennessee from an Oklahoma mod.

He's apparently announcing next month.

Arion Carter is taking OVs to Alabama, LSU, Michigan, Tennessee and USCw.

Yet he's still committed to Memphis.

RPM to Bama at 60. Auburn biggest threat. Kid is visiting everybody and they momma before the ESP including back to Auburn for the LSU game. Weird article cause it doesn't seem like it is going to end with him putting in a prediction to Bama, then he does .

I still don’t understand why a 5* would choose Auburn these past few years but that’s just me

If he chose Auburn, he will decommit anyway because Hasbin won't be there long.

Yeah, supposedly he was all OK until a few hours before he signed. Saw that he had informed the OK staff as well.

Just saw this on tRant:
OU writer:

"So you all know, Saturday I had recorded a "Know your croot" with him. He was committed silently for sometime. He told me it was OU then.

At that time he had zero reservations.

Even as of last night, it was OU. Even this morning it was OU.

As a matter of fact, it was OU up until 30 min prior to announcement when he told OU he was going to A&M.

Heck, I even flew in for the announcement because I was told it was still OU.

This is a big blow. In the world NIL, this thing got crazy real quick. So, when people thought I was stirring up drama, it was me being upfront with you all."

Now we know what exactly Saban was upset about. Their brazenness has gotten out of hand. I think you will see this game played by A&M till signing day. They might again end up with a huge signing class. They are probably just laying low till then. We need to watch out for Tony Mitchell, he is too cozy with TAMU.
Would not be surprised to see this scenario play out. JMO.

Southeast Spotlight: Five intense recruiting battles

quote:

Cormani McClain

Main contenders: Alabama, Florida and Miami

The world of college football wanted him, but McClain is down to three schools with Alabama and Florida leading the way. McClain has been to Florida numerous times developing a comfort level during the Dan Mullen era that has carried over to Billy Napier and company. The development on the field in Tuscaloosa cannot be denied, which is a strong pull for the five-star.

Nick Saban and his staff have a big recruiting weekend planned on Oct. 8 when the Tide face the Aggies. Alabama will have its chance to make its case when McClain takes his official that weekend.

Keon Keeley

Main contenders: Alabama and Ohio State

The one-time Notre Dame commit could have a change of heart heading back to South Bend, but this is shaping up to be a two-team race between SEC and Big Ten bluebloods. Keeley took his official visit with the Irish in June decommitting in August about two weeks after an unofficial to Alabama. The prevailing thought was Alabama had closed on the five-star Tampa defensive end … but along came Ohio State. Several of the coaches on the Buckeyes’ staff can talk about producing NFL talent, and defensive line coach Larry Johnson is one who can puff his chest out a little broader given his success.

Keeley made a return trip to Columbus over the weekend to see Wisconsin get routed 52-21. The same weekend McClain will be on his official in Tuscaloosa so will Keeley. Alabama is in a great position to add two high achieving five-stars to its 2023 class. But the return visit to Ohio State may have the Buckeyes out in front for now.
