Can he punt or kick?

Plays with Jackson Bratton.
Bigger safety, almost plays LB as much as he is in the box.
All I can discern
...coach on the field, lunchpail, last to leave.

LINK ]Four-star 2020 WR Jalen McMillan one of the best in the West (247Sports | embedded video)

quote:
Fresno (Calif.) San Joaquin Memorial 2020 receiver Jalen McMillan is quickly making a case to be not just among the top receivers in the West for his class but in the discussion for one of the best in the country.
After a monster sophomore season in which he had 78 catches for 1,810 yards and 21 touchdowns, he's been just as dynamic this season. Through eight games, McMillan has 38 receptions for 767 yards and 11 touchdowns for one of the most dynamic offenses in the Central Valley. They've been held below 41 points only once this year.
The 6-3, 175-pounder, who clocked a 4.53 at The Opening Bay Area regional (second fastest on the day and fastest for a 2020 prospect), played a lot of baseball in the offseason so we didn't see him as much on the 7v7 circuit. But he's made it count where it matters most, on the field on Friday nights.
So it's no wonder why programs from across the country have been offering McMillan, including recent offers from schools like Alabama, Georgia, Florida and LSU, plus Pac-12 programs Washington State and UCLA. That goes along with offers he already had from schools like Oregon, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Washington and USC.
In other words, McMillan is going to have his pick of the litter when it is all said and done. . . (read more)

LINK ]Bama commit Alfano ready to prove himself on national stage (247Sports | embedded video)
quote:
COLONIA, NJ – Alabama commit and four-star defensive lineman Antonio Alfano had his pick of all-American games, but it was an easy choice for him to head to San Antonio for the All-American Bowl presented by American Family Insurance. Alfano watched the game plenty of times, he knows the history of the game, and he figured it was the perfect fit for him.
“I watched it every year,” said Alfano, who is the No. 3 strong side defensive end in the industry-generated 247Sports Composite. “I watched it when Ed Oliver was in it. I watched it all time. I watch all the all-star games to see what everyone is all about, so I watch this all the time. I picked this game because it had more of a history, more of a background to it. You can see from the players who played in it -- Eric Berry, Adrian Peterson, Patrick Peterson -- it was an easy choice.”
The 6-foot-4, 285-pound Alfano was honored with his jersey Wednesday after Colonia High’s practice as the jersey tour continued in anticipation of the Jan. 5 game. “It’s a great honor to be an all-American and be able to play in this game against the best kids in the country,” Alfano said. “It gives me an opportunity to see where I am at, and prepare for next year.”

Alfano, who will enroll at Alabama in January, is eager to compete on a national stage for the first time. “My mentality is I am going to bring everything I have to the table and see where it stands across the country,” he said. “I do believe I am the best defensive lineman in the country. I would like to go against the best offensive linemen in the country and see where I’m at, and prove myself.”
Although Alfano is one of the elite recruits in the nation and is heading to play for the marquee program in college football, he is not ready to rest. “You have to keep working and never get complacent with things,” he said. “You feel good a little bit here and there when you hear about the game and who played in it. When you get invited to this game, you are getting compared to Adrian Peterson and all those guys.”
Alfano committed to Alabama in the spring, and he is slated to make his official visit for the Nov. 24 game against Auburn. In the meantime, though, he is watching the Crimson Tide time weekly and loving how the nation’s No. 1 team is dominating everyone.
“What much is there to say?” he said. “They are taking the breath out of college football. They are just manhandling everyone. We going to see how they do against LSU (Nov. 3). If they blow them out, then I don’t know who is going to get in their way. Overall, they’re just impressive.”

It was announced after I posted it. There was a reply that stated he was a walk-on, and I didn’t see the need to add it.

Devonta Lee is waiting out for a spot at Bama. Similar to Marcus Banks and Akeem Dent. All three are borderline of being takes or not and the staff will continue to evaluate all three.

Simmons' Mailbag: Potential flips, Pickens, 'Bama QB commit

There is nothing better than interacting with all the college football and college football recruiting fans out there. Thanks to all for your questions.
There were questions about a potential Tennessee flip, five-star George Pickens, what Clemson will do on the offensive line, Devonta Lee and more.
Thanks for your questions and here are my answers.

How solid is George pickens to auburn?
George Pickens is still visiting schools and talking to numerous coaches, so he is not done yet. With that said, I still like Auburn’s chances to hold on to him. I have said for a couple of months; I feel Alabama is the Tigers' biggest threat based on what I have heard.
Florida State, Georgia, LSU and a few others want to be in this, but I do not view them as legitimate threats. Lets see if he take official visits, and to who they go to. I expect Auburn and Alabama to receive one for sure. He is so connected with quarterback Bo Nix, and unless something drastic happens, I do not see him flipping to anyone at this time.
Again, Alabama is a school to watch, and maybe someone to worry about if you are an Auburn fan, but I still like Auburn’s chances to sign Pickens right now.
