John Garcia:

Sopsher will be at Death Valley for LSU vs Bama

Bama has the momentum in his recruitment, but signing day decision.

Sopshers best rep vs anyone in the country is un-blockable.

Do Want.

Spoke to a window replacement man outside of the Mal Moore Complex this afternoon. He told me he thinks an opposing fan of Alabama threw something big and with force to break this window outside of where Saban gives his press conferences.

Chase Young is good at getting after the QB, but struggles in the running game. Minnesota ran all over them. Either of our OTs would dominate him if we played them today.

Y'all got any of those commits? I just haven't had one in a while and they calm me down. They really make me feel good. You wouldn't hold out on me, right?

Surge is there anyway to take more than 28 with current rules or is it basically a hard cap? I'm wondering if Ole Miss with 27 and ATM with 25 can use any trickery to get more in thier classes this year. Sorry for the remedial recruiting question .

We just picked up two CBs for Marcus Banks.

Both were from Texas mods.

You have been saying the blueshirts have basically been eliminated with new rules but we could still have a few grayshirts to get us to 28-29, is that right or am I off base?

LINK ]Marcus Banks decommits from LSU (Geaux247)
quote:

2019 Houston (Tex.) Dekaney cornerback Marcus Banks announced his decommitment from LSU on Tuesday night, he said on Twitter. The four-star prospect had been committed to the Tigers since June 10 when he committed over offers from Alabama, Auburn, Texas A&M and others.

"After much thought and consideration, I have decided to re-open my recruitment," Banks wrote in the tweet. "This was one of the hardest decisions of my life. Understand that there is no love lost with LSU, but I have to do what's best for myself and my future. Please respect my decision."

In late September, Banks made an official visit visit Alabama to take in the Crimson Tide's game against Texas A&M. Eyebrows were raised and less than a month later, Banks backed off his pledge to LSU. Banks originally committed to LSU over the Tide and Aggies, cancelling his official visit to Alabama that was set for after his LSU official visit in June.

The 6-0, 170-pound cornerback ranks as the No. 116 overall prospect in the country, No. 14 cornerback in the country and No. 18 overall prospect in Texas for the 2019 class, according to 247Sports. He was a big riser in the latest rankings updates released by 247Sports. Barton Simmons, 247Sports director of recruiting, said that Banks' camp performance was backed up by solid senior tape.

"A cornerback that really emerged on the camp circuit, he has remained a three-star because the junior tape just didn’t quite do it for us. His senior tape is a totally different animal," Simmons wrote last month. "The LSU commit is now a Top247 four-star because of what he’s put on senior tape. He’s very instinctive and sees route-combinations really naturally, his acceleration to the football flashes and he brings a ton of physicality in a slighter frame."

Banks told Geaux247 he's been dialed in on perfecting his craft, and he's now seeing the hard work pay off. He earned an invitation to the All-American Bowl in San Antonio, Texas set for January.

"I have definitely worked on getting through blocks and tackling for sure, and just knowing the game," Banks said. "I’ve gotten smarter, and it made everything much easier for me. I've also worked a lot on my technique. Teams always avoid me. I don’t get to much action on Friday nights."

The 247Sports Composite ranks Banks as the No. 266 overall prospect, No. 29 cornerback in the country and No. 33 overall prospect in Texas.

Tweet announcing decommitment

I've always had a good relationship with Coach Banks since he's been recruiting me at A&M. Alabama, I really like them. They're on the top of my list. I've always had a good connection with them and I've always had a love for Alabama... If I go there I'll be coached by Nick Saban, too. Just the attraction of the winning success they have there...

I swear this class has been so unpredictable. Watch we end with some close like To'oto'o, Banks, Pickens, Sanders, Thibs, Sospher, Neal, Pola-Gates, and a ham sandwich from Paraguay who has only been playing football for one year but is setting all types of records playing high school ball in South Dakota.
