My wife can cook like nobodies business!! I handle the grill, fish, and when it comes to deer meat.

Both my wife and I make a mean breakfast which I admit is the easiest meal to prepare. She can also bake. The rest is a cluster.

My wife has tried for years (we both have been married before) and when she retired, she asked me to teach her. And give it to her she really seemed to try... alas, she is still about as good as she has ever been. For a great long time, I did the great majority of the Thanksgiving and Christmas cooking for her(our) family gatherings. She just doesnt seem to be able to get it. (or maybe its all part of her evil plan...) But, even knowing that one day she may not "look" like she did when we 1st got together, I am ok with that. I dont mind cooking and I sure cannot provide the things she can to the relationship.

Alabama and Auburn QB commits named to watch list for national award
quote:
Four Alabama high school quarterbacks -- all from metro Birmingham -- have been named to the National Quarterback Club of the Year Award's midseason watch list.
The four players are Alabama commits Taulia Tagovailoa of Thompson and Hewitt-Trussville's Paul Tyson, Auburn commit Bo Nix of Pinson Valley and uncommitted Hoover junior Robby Ashford.
Tagovailoa, the younger brother of current Alabama starter Tua Tagovailoa, has thrown for more than 2,300 yards, 24 touchdown passes and only two interceptions this season for the Warriors (5-1).
Tyson set a new school career TD pass record earlier this season and currently has 2,009 passing yards, 20 touchdown passes and two interceptions. The Huskies have won six straight games.
Nix and Pinson Valley returned to No. 1 in the Class 6A rankings this week, and he needs just 80 yards week to reach 10,000 career yards of total offense.
Tagovailoa, Nix and Tyson are all members of AL.com's A-List, which ranks the state's top 15 senior prospects.
Ashford has led the Bucs to victories over Pinson Valley and Thompson this season in his first year as a starting quarterback.
The watch list features 28 quarterbacks, with 18 seniors and 10 juniors.
The award, sponsored by the Washington, D.C.-based National Quarterback Club and Arizona's Grand Canyon State Gridiron Club, will be presented on Jan. 19, 2019.
The 28-member watch list includes eight players from California, and Alabama's four is the next highest number from any state.

Four-star LB Daniel Heimuli working to set up official visits
quote:
Menlo (Calif.) Atherton linebacker Daniel Heimuli (6-2, 225), is working to narrow his list one more time.
“A decision will come in the next 2-3 weeks to what my final five will be and those will be the five that will get official visits from me,” said Heimuli.
Heimuli, though, knows a few of his official visit destinations and dates he has in mind.
“I know for sure Washington will get a visit, Oregon will get a visit and Alabama will get a visit,” said Heimuli. “I’m trying to shoot for November 3rd for Oregon and Washington will be December 14th. Alabama, we’re working to decide that date. I think it will be the second weekend in December, if we can get that date open.”
Heimuli was working to set up an official visit to UCLA for earlier in the season but that looks like it will happen after the season.
Ole Miss, TCU, Utah and Nebraska are also working on Heimuli to get one of the last available official visits.
“I have set three schools that I know I want to take and when, then the rest I’ll work on,” said Heimuli. “I would like to see more game days and build better relationships with the coaches so I’d like to take all my visits.”
The next decision for Heimuli will be when he’ll sign.
“Thats another decision we have to make, but December is what I’m going to shoot for,” said Heimuli.
With Oregon the likely first stop, the Ducks have been heavily after him.
“I talk with Coach (Jim) Leavitt, Coach (Cort) Dennison and Coach (Jim) Mastro the most,” said Heimuli. “They’re recruiting me as an inside guy.”
Washington already has a commitment from his teammate, defensive tackle Noa Ngalu, and they continue to prioritize him.
“Coach (Bob) Gregory, Coach Pete (Chris Petersen), all of them are recruiting me to Washington,” said Heimuli. “And Noa a lot too.”
Alabama has Bay Area native Tosh Lupoi running point on Heimuli.
“Tosh is recruiting me for Alabama and I went down there this past summer and it was great,” said Heimuli. “Meeting Coach (Nick) Saban was amazing too.”
Heimuli said he talks regularly with Lewis Powell at Utah, who is a Menlo-Atherton alum as well as Justin Ena, and both were at his last game.
At UCLA, he said Chip Kelly has been recruiting him along with Don Pellum, the Bruins’ linebackers coach.
Nebraska has former Husker linebacker and current linebackers coach Barrett Ruud recruiting him.
“I was talking to Texas too, but they were a little late to the party with an offer so I had to make that decision to go somewhere else,” said Heimuli.
Heimuli also added an offer from Tennessee on Sunday.
A baseball player as well as football, baseball kept him off the 7v7 and camp circuit in the spring, but he’s hoping he has more than one season left of baseball.
“Baseball is something I want to do in college,” said Heimuli. “I’ll play as a senior and hopefully I can play at the next level.”
A Polynesian Bowl selection, Heimuli said he’s already looking forward to playing in Hawaii in January with Ngalu.
“I can’t wait for that and I’m ecstatic,” said Heimuli. “I get to go to Hawaii, play over there, meet all of the best players in the country and bond.”
In the meantime, he said he’s just trying to embrace the recruiting experience.
“I can only live this experience once, so of course I’m enjoying it,” said Heimuli. “I can't wait to see where I'm at the next seven months.”
A four-star in the industry-generated 247Sports Composite Rankings, Heimuli is the No. 14 inside linebacker nationally in the 2019 class.

quote:
After spending a week on the road in Central California and Northern California, stopping by Fresno, Sacramento, the East Bay, the Bay Area and Silicon Valley, there was a lot to unwrap from the Golden State.
We saw over 100 different players at nearly 25 high schools plus a pair of games in the region.
Here are ten thoughts from the road from the trip through the central and northern parts of the Golden State.

2020 RB KENDALL MILTON COULD BE THE BIGGEST FRESNO RECRUIT EVER
>>> 5-star RB Kendall Milton 6-2/210 CA hudl
quote:
Clovis (Calif.) Buchanan 2020 running back Kendall Milton is one of the elite players nationally in his class.
He's a composite five-star and ranked as the No. 2 running back in the country in the 2020 class and the top running back in the West.
Milton has almost 40 offers though he's narrowed it down to a top ten of Alabama, Florida State, Fresno State, Georgia, Miami, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Penn State, Texas and USC.
The last time Fresno had a player this heavily pursued by the top programs across the country, it was in the 2016 class, when Fresno (Calif.) Clovis West linebacker Caleb Kelly, a composite five-star now at Oklahoma, was being recruited and had over 25 offers.
But Milton is the highest rated prospect from Fresno ever in the composite rankings and is already in the conversation for being the most heavily recruited player ever from the Central Valley.

4-STAR LINEBACKER DANIEL HEIMULI HAS MADE A HUGE LEAP
>>> 4-star ILB Daniel Heimuli 6-2/225 CA hudl
quote:
When we first saw Menlo (Cal.) Atherton linebacker Daniel Heimuli last season, you could see the potential there.
His junior film was strong, but he plays baseball for MA and he also played travel baseball, so he didn't do any camps or any 7v7 football so we didn't see Heimuli in any action all offseason.
His senior film came out, though, and he made an even bigger jump in his game and then seeing him in person on Friday in a blowout of previously unbeaten Pacifica (Calif.) Terra Nova, you see that jump even more so than you do in film.
Heimuli, who will play in the 2019 Polynesian Bowl, said he put in a lot of work this offseason and head coach Adhir Ravipati said that has been evident all season and you can see the leadership that Heimuli brings to the team, (the team dinner, all eyes were on him).
And his play on the field shows why he's now among the top inside linebackers in the country, ranked No. 14 in the composite at his position.
Heimuli will visit Oregon in November and Washington in December and is trying to lock in official visits with Alabama and UCLA.

Q Crouch still out and as mentioned the word is not going to play this season. Seems to be some concerns about injuries and how healthy he be. I read one article said he had hip surgery in January and in the first game this season(only one he played) hurt his ankle.
He is not soft by any means but loves to hit and got hammered all last year. It seemed his coach put the team on his back for a state title last year and he is the kind of kid to do it without complaining. But now may be paying for it. Sort of like Spurrier with Lattimore.
At this point I think it will be FSU or Clemson with FSU having the lead as he is good friends with Sam Howell(FSU commit). Has OVs setup for FSU, CU, and Michigan, and says UA & SoCal will get one but I am not sure. He is an EE and may commit in November according to some around him

LINK ]Elite Georgia commit planning Alabama OV (BamaOnLine)
quote:
Alabama will get one of 5-star defensive end and Georgia commit Nolan Smith's official visits, the 247Sports top-rated player announced on Twitter.
Earlier this week, BamaOnLine reported the possibility of the Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy product taking a return trip to Tuscaloosa and Wednesday night he confirmed it.
Smith, despite being committed to the Bulldogs for nearly two years, has maintained interest in the Tide and has taken several visits to the Capstone over the course of the last 12 months.

quote:
“The coaches, really,” he told BOL earlier this year of what drives his interest in Alabama. “That’s what drives the program. Coach Tosh (Lupoi) got the D-coordinator spot. It’s real good for me to go back there and talk to him. He’s also my position coach. It’s great to just talk with him and sit down with him and just be around him.”
Lupoi has been a big reason why Smith maintains the level of interest in UA he does. At The Opening Finals he spoke with BOL further about the first year Tide defensive coordinator. “Coach Tosh is one of the best outside linebacker coaches in the world,” Smith said. “There may be somebody in like Italy that thinks they know pass rush, but they really don’t until they meet Tosh Lupoi at the University of Alabama.”
Last spring, Smith took photos donning an Alabama jersey with the College Football Playoff Championship Game trophy -- the same trophy awarded for beating the team he is committed to.
One of the visits Smith took to Alabama in the last year was for the LSU game last November. He brought along his entire family to meet Nick Saban. “He’s a great person,” Smith said of the Alabama head coach. “He’s real down to earth. I go to my grandma and she’ll be like did you talk to Saban? She thinks it’s the coolest thing. I took her on a visit and we all sat down and talked to Saban.”
The general consensus is that Smith will end up sticking with his commitment to the Bulldogs, but there's no question Alabama has kept it interesting.

At 6-foot-3, 232 pounds, Smith is rated the No. 2 weak-side defensive end and the No. 2 overall player in the country, per the industry-generated 247Sports Composite Rankings.
As noted above, 247Sports rates Smith the No. 1 overall player in the country. Here's the scouting report on the 5-star edge rusher:
"A muscular, twitched-up athlete with enough length for the edge but better suited as a pass rush linebacker than a true hand-down defensive end. One of the more explosive pass rushers in the 2019 class with impressive combine testing numbers to back up that claim. Speed, quickness, ability to bend the edge are elite but can flash surprising strength and power while playing with leverage. Has shown a willingness to be more than just a speed rusher and exhibits coachability in camp settings. Doesn’t have ideal length. He has not operated in space much, so it is an unknown how he would adapt. Impact upper tier Power 5 starter and No. 1 NFL Draft pick upside."
