Nakobe Dean picked up a CB pick to UGA from a Miss State mod. He has no intel on where Dean might be leaning. Dean is extremely tight-lipped.

Elite Georgia commit planning Alabama OV
Alabama will get one of 5-star defensive end and Georgia commit Nolan Smith's official visits, the 247Sports top-rated player announced on Twitter.
Earlier this week, BamaOnLine reported the possibility of the Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy product taking a return trip to Tuscaloosa and Wednesday night he confirmed it.
Smith, despite being committed to the Bulldogs for nearly two years, has maintained interest in the Tide and has taken several visits to the Capstone over the course of the last 12 months.
“The coaches, really,” he told BOL earlier this year of what drives his interest in Alabama. “That’s what drives the program. Coach Tosh (Lupoi) got the D-coordinator spot. It’s real good for me to go back there and talk to him. He’s also my position coach. It’s great to just talk with him and sit down with him and just be around him.”
Lupoi has been a big reason why Smith maintains the level of interest in UA he does. At The Opening Finals he spoke with BOL further about the first year Tide defensive coordinator.
“Coach Tosh is one of the best outside linebacker coaches in the world,” Smith said. “There may be somebody in like Italy that thinks they know pass rush, but they really don’t until they meet Tosh Lupoi at the University of Alabama.”
The general consensus is that Smith will end up sticking with his commitment to the Bulldogs, but there's no question Alabama has kept it interesting.
Last spring, Smith took photos donning an Alabama jersey with the College Football Playoff Championship Game trophy -- the same trophy awarded for beating the team he is committed to.
One of the visits Smith took to Alabama in the last year was for the LSU game last November. He brought along his entire family to meet Nick Saban.
“He’s a great person,” Smith said of the Alabama head coach. “He’s real down to earth. I go to my grandma and she’ll be like did you talk to Saban? She thinks it’s the coolest thing. I took her on a visit and we all sat down and talked to Saban.”
At 6-foot-3, 232 pounds, Smith is rated the No. 2 weak-side defensive end and the No. 2 overall player in the country, per the industry-generated 247Sports Composite Rankings.

As noted above, 247Sports rates Smith the No. 1 overall player in the country. Here's the scouting report on the 5-star edge rusher:
"A muscular, twitched-up athlete with enough length for the edge but better suited as a pass rush linebacker than a true hand-down defensive end. One of the more explosive pass rushers in the 2019 class with impressive combine testing numbers to back up that claim. Speed, quickness, ability to bend the edge are elite but can flash surprising strength and power while playing with leverage. Has shown a willingness to be more than just a speed rusher and exhibits coachability in camp settings. Doesn’t have ideal length. He has not operated in space much, so it is an unknown how he would adapt. Impact upper tier Power 5 starter and No. 1 NFL Draft pick upside."

I think it may be due to Georgia supposedly telling his teammate, Raydarious Jones, that he is a take for them.

One of the BYU mods just CB'd Siaki Ika to Alabama and Faatui Tuitele to Washington.

I think I read he will not make the Michigan OV this weekend.
I believe he changed it to Nov 3 for the Penn State game and will visit Clemson on Nov 17.

Gotcha.
I asked someone with a Rivals account to summarize that article about him yesterday because I could only see the first sentence.
Alas, no one volunteered.

Interdasting. Raydarious Jones plays QB (DT) at Horn Lake, but also practices at CB and will play CB on the MS all-star team. He is rated a 4-star (.8942) CB on the 247 composite; 6-2/170, 4.41 forty, 4.0 shuttle. Jones visited Bama in February (and was offered) and camped at Bama in June.
ETA: UGA fans are saying they don't think UGA told Jones he's a take. Hank (BOL) said Jones is a "stud" but he doesn't think we're after him.

Alabama commit playing on ESPN Thursday night
quote:
Alabama commit Kevin Harris and the Grayson Rams will take on the Archer Tigers on Thursday night on ESPN2 at 6 p.m CT.
The Rams are 4-2 on the season coming off a 59-3 blowout of Shiloh last weekend. Harris, a 4-star weak-side defensive end, has been a critical piece of the Grayson defense thus far on the season. The 6-foot-4, 228-pounder had a game-clinching sack back in September that sealed a win over Westlake and has been Grayson's defensive MVP more than once, which is saying a lot considering the roster is chock-full of Division I talent.
After committing to Alabama over LSU and Miami back in May, Harris has shut down his recruitment and focused solely on his Rams team and preparing himself for the next level.
“I just felt at peace with the decision, nothing lingering in the back of my head like why should I go to this school or that school,” Harris said about his decision to pledge to UA. “I knew it was going to be Bama. I just felt good about that decision."
Harris plans to take just one more official visit and that will be to Tuscaloosa later this season. He would visit Alabama this weekend, however, the 6 p.m. kickoff time puts him back on the road home too late.
The 4-star future Jack linebacker's father has been another big influence on his decision not only to commit to Alabama but to not waver.
"I’ve taught my son that your word is your bond," Kevin Harris Sr. said. "We won’t be flip-flopping. It’s bigger than football. It’s about being a respectable man. No plans for any other official visits (aside from Alabama). We're done."
Harris won't be the only prospect to watch that could potentially garner more interest from the Tide in 2019. Earlier this week, BamaOnLine reported that Alabama head coach Nick Saban contacted 4-star cornerback and Texas commit Kenyatta Watson II. An offer has not yet been extended, but it's certainly a recruitment to keep tabs on for the remainder of the season if the Tide decides to press.
And of course Harris won't be the only prospect worth tuning in for in general on Thursday considering who plays for Grayson. The following is just a sample size of the 2019 talent the Rams possess:
Five-star OT Wanya Morris -- Tennessee commit
Five-star LB Owen Pappoe -- Auburn commit
Four-star OT Trente Jones -- Michigan commit
Three-star WR Kenyon Jackson -- Texas A&M commit
Archer isn't short on talent either. The Tigers have a stout roster that includes:
Five-star CB Andrew Booth -- Clemson commit
Three-star S Jalyn Phillips -- Clemson commit
Three-star DL Colby Wooden -- Auburn commit

West Spotlight: Five commitment predictions

There’s no shortage of uncommitted prospects in the West. And while recruiting the region can be hectic, the unpredictability doesn’t stop Rivals.com from making predictions. It’s why, below, you’ll find our best guesses at landing places for five of the region’s top players.

Henry To'oto'o
There are three former Concord (Calif.) De La Salle teammates at UCLA and that could play a significant factor for To’oto’o as he looks at his options. Plus the Bruins have made the four-star linebacker a major priority for years, even through two coaching staffs. However, Alabama has To’oto’o high on its board as well and the connection to assistant Tosh Lupoi among other coaches with the Crimson Tide could be too much to pass down. To’oto’o also seems like someone who is intrigued by playing in the SEC. This is definitely a close battle with UCLA, Alabama and possibly others involved.
Prediction: Alabama

No mention of Bama
This coming weekend was supposed to be five-star Quavaris Crouch's official visit to Michigan but, as was reported earlier today, that visit will not occur. The Michigan staff wanted Crouch to reschedule his official visit for after the season so they could spend more time with him. Crouch was really hoping to see a game in the Big House with his family so it looks like his official visit will be rescheduled for the Penn State game on November 3rd.
In the meantime, Crouch is planning a couple other trips. While these plans are not 100-percent locked in just yet, there is a very good chance they take place. It looks like Crouch will go to the South Carolina game this weekend when the Gamecocks host Texas A&M. The following weekend is when Clemson hosts N.C. State and Crouch will likely be in attendance as well.

There seems to be some concerns regarding injuries with him. But no one knows how bad to be honest. Rumors he quit his team this fall even though he is supposedly out with a high ankle sprain(been out since middle of August) but it not in attendance for games or practice.
Until November trips are just local and UOV. Again I think it comes down to CU or FSU. He is not going to go to far from his family. FSU coaching staff is doing a good job with his recruiting right now so should be interesting to see where he lands in the ACC.

Per Hank (BOL) Bama isn't recruiting Crouch hard right now. I doubt that's likely to change unless Bama misses on several LB and RB targets that are higher on their board.

Ishmael Sopsher's dad told BOL "We comin'" to Bama this weekend for the Missouri game, instead of LSU's game vs UGA as originally planned.
