Kirby promised way too much to Fields and he didn't keep those promises. Fields pulling a Kamara now.

Kirby told Fields he would get a chance to compete for the starting spot. He didn't make a ton of promises

Something going on in Athens. Haselwood decommits after visiting there last weekend. Jalen Perry, 4* DB, just decomitted. ESPN Radio said today that Justin Fields may seek hardship transfer.

A hardship waiver? He's from fricking Marietta. Where's he going to transfer to? Georgia Tech? Gonna be funny if the "hardship" is "I was promised that I'd be the starter by October, and that is the only reason I signed."

Kirby wasn’t shy about doing it as DC at Alabama. I can’t imagine he hasn’t used the practice building Georgia.

Two weeks ago, one of the best BOL insiders said he'd be very surprised if Henry To'oto'o doesn't sign with Bama.

It’s going to be open season like the 1920s if they cave to any reason under the sun to transfer with no penalty.

But I know for a fact Kirby told him he would get PT and a shot at starting but was not guaranteed the starting job. He's had packages, and he is starting to get utilized more. The hardship thing makes 0 sense at all too.

VN poster provided a little more about what was said on ESPN radio:

Hardship transfer based on what grounds? That makes no sense.

I agree. The radio guy was saying because of racial atmosphere. An all SEC baseball player was slinging racial slurs at football game last weekend. He was dismissed from team a day or two ago. Allegedly other incidents have occurred.

I'm skeptical it's even true. The timing of it makes no sense at all. If he wanted to transfer why the hell wait until after playing in 5 games to do it? Now if he doesn't get the hardship waiver, and considering he's going to school less than 90 minutes from home he probably won't, he not only loses a year of eligibility but he has to sit out next year too.

Completely agree. Which is why I think that Volnation post was full of shite about that

Maybe it has something to do with the way he was treated on the baseball team.

Volnation is the only clue we needed here. It’s on par with TideFans. And that’s not a compliment.

Sasser has talked to Fields about the incident and they're good. Wouldn't think that would be an issue
