Just a quick handshake, but still cool.

What do y’all know of Byron Devinner? Every coach that went by him made it a point to stop and talk to him for a bit.

He was a football player at UAB in the early days of the program. He got pissed off at them later and tried to turn them in to the NCAA for buying him a used car.

Last I heard he was a handler for lots of high profile players. I guess he still is if assistant coaches seek him out.

I don't know if he's legit, but I always thought he was shady af.

Handler in the state of MS, with some connections in AL and the Memphis area. He's definitely a good guy to have on your side, shady or not. You'd rather him (or anybody with influence for any reason) recommend guys go to your school than recommend they not go to your school. Even if they're shady.

Isn't he the Nashville guy who has helped Bama in the past?

Yeah. I forgot about his Nashville connections. He's all over the Deep South, I guess.

FSU struggling with Samford.

Like a few of us said last week; it isn't just the loss, it's the look of instability which will be on Kayvon's mind.

I hope that is enough to wash away all the FSU neg recruiting and get him on board after he OVs to us against Texas A&M

Looks like they're about to take the lead finally, but Samford has looked like the better team tonight, despite a huge disadvantage in personnel.

FSU has looked like a train wreck in both games this season.

ETA Samford's qb has about 480 yards passing.

Sounds like JAD blew his knee in pre-game warmup.

Good grief with the injuries. Why are almost all of them of the season ending variety ?

I wonder if FSU has invested in a great recruiter but average coach. In his 8 full seasons as a head coach Taggert has 5 winning seasons but 3 of them were 7-5 and 1 was 8-5. He is basically a .500 coach at every stop. He is not getting anywhere near Clemson, I have a feeling it is going to be an ugly ending for him. Hopefully the recruits will see that throughout this season.

Justin Eboigbe, after his UF visit: "They made an impression, but Alabama is still atop of my list. I'm still committed to Alabama. I'm still sold on them, but I always try my best to look at other colleges I might be interested in because it's not final until you sign. That's one thing that I'm always thinking when I got to a college. I go with an open mind, but in the back of my mind, I'm always with Alabama."
