Yeah, I know what you're saying (as compared to 5* guys at other more critical positions). So in that sense, I agree somewhat,
But he's rocketed up the board. They're bound and determined to fit him in the class regardless, it sounds like.
My personal opinion. He's special. Do whatever you need to do to get him in the class somehow, someway.

One other interesting note. According to a poster on TI who is actually VERY plugged in in the state of MS (he's a lawyer over there... I actually know a couple people familiar with him), Turnage is about to flip to Ole Miss. Several people have been saying to not look for him to wind up in our class for weeks now. It may play itself out sooner rather than later. This poster knows several in the OM booster network, and has been very reliable with state of MS info over the years. Some of his stories over the last few years regarding OM have been pretty interesting.

Texas A&M picked up 4 more CBs for Christian Harris.
2 were from Mississippi State mods, one from the new Oklahoma mod and one from a Texas Tech mod.

One of the same Mississippi State mods CB'd Nakobe Dean to Florida State.

Well isn’t that just peachy..lol. I really want Harris, and Dean is almost a must get for me...But I would rather him go to FSU than UGA. So we are back to getting No one..? lol
I wish we would have gave Harris the green light when he first wanted to come.. I wouldn’t want to be sloppy seconds either

I think a lot of the Harris CBs today came in reaction to Wiltfong making his pick earlier.
He kinda changed his tune on the Aggie board later:
Aggie mod Brian Perroni in the same thread:

Sounds like this one could still be a battle per another source.

Alabama put the full court press on him over the weekend. I think it will be A&M but I don't want to guarantee anything.

And right on cue, Perroni posted this hours later:

By the way, I still think it will be A&M, but I wouldn't count out Alabama at all. A lot of the new CB picks aren't from people that cover Harris' region or recruitment. I am guessing some of them are playing follow the leader with Wiltfong. Steve still feels pretty confident in his pick but, as he posted in a follow-up in his thread, he had another source that caused him to at least give it some pause.

Tim Watts says we will sign 28 in this class.
I guess that settles it then.

One of the recruiting coordinators at 11W has consistently said that there is now a HARD cap at 25, and last year was a transition year and the last year you could go over. I certainly have no idea if that is true with backdating guys and EEs.
What is the actual rule on this thing? I could see a school like Bama/OSU/Clemson having a year where they have 6-7 guys transfer, 15 seniors and 5-6 guys leave early for the draft, and you need to take a couple more than 25.
Thanks. In regards to OSU, weird recruiting cycle continues. The 2020 class is off to an amazing start, which has kind of made OSU fans be very ho-hum about the 2019 class which has a top 5 average per commit and is still going to finish in the top 10.

Trey Palmer committed to LSU.
Ole Miss is up to 27 commits already and Turnage seems like he is at every event in Tuscaloosa. Seems odd. I would be disappointed if he flipped but I guess if that is true, those are the breaks. Maybe we get Milton Wright or Cross.

According to Baton Rouge radio they are expecting Devonta Lee could be committing to them soon as well. FTR these guys are not homers. They will usually be cautious when discussing recruits that Alabama and LSU are after the same recruit. Said O has gone full court press offering everyone he can around Sopsher to get him including they feel really good and f they can get Lee on board it will go a long way in helping get Sopsher as well.

Never forget Jarez Parks.... However they are probably right this year.

Turnage hasn't been expected in this class for a few months.

From my understanding that hasn't been the consensus for awhile (I famously don't have a subscription account
), but yes many have said prior he would not be in the class. Again Ole Miss has 27 commits, I'm sure they will process someone/massage the numbers to get him in, but it seems late in the game now for the flip. And as I've said earlier whether he is on the outs with the coaches/flipping on his own, I found it strange he seems to have been at every event we have had, even though I am aware he is reasonably close to campus. I also take everything said around here with a grain of salt, we haven't been all that accurate this year
.
I'm not upset about it just thought the tide had turned for him. Guess not.

With all due respect, why even post in here? There aren't many head to head battles for recruits between Bama and OSU, you aren't in the SEC, and frankly, none of us care for the updates on the OSU 2020 or 2019 recruiting classes.
Combine that with the (paraphrasing) "well i know your guy said Bama is going to sign 28, but an OSU guy said there's a HARD cap at 25". We don't care what some dude at 11W has to say about hard caps. If Tim Watts says something, you can take it to the proverbial bank.
You seem like a nice guy, so I hope that didn't all come across as dickish as I think it did.

You did sound like a dick. His one post is not going to clutter up the board. We have tons of pages on HBCU, pictures of dogs, half naked women, flaming sean, and other random stuff. He's only helping us get closer to 1000 pages.

Not the first time. Won't be the last.
Go try to post on a Buckeyes site and see how you're treated.
Start with this line:
"I know Urban said he didn't know about his WR coach abusing his wife, but there is reporting out today that says he knew as far back as 2015. Weird. I'm not sure though. it'll probably be fine"
