Rian Davis isn't completely shutting the door on the Crimson Tide, however, as he tells BamaOnLine on Monday morning that he still intends to take an official visit to Alabama this fall.
No thanks.

The SEC championship is meaningless now. Georgia will lose 2-3 games this season.

Alabama hosted Jordan Banks, a 2020 3-star strong-side defensive end/linebacker, over the weekend for its Champions Cookout
The Harbor City (Ca.) Narbonne product picked up an offer from the Crimson Tide during his time on campus.
Jordan Banks Highlights
He's ranked as a DE so that's where his info is going on the first page.

Banks says we are his leader after his offer/visit:
quote:
“They’re my leader right now,” Banks told BamaOnLine. “I can’t say nothing else about it.”
quote:
“Everything stood out to me,” he said. “Alabama is amazing. It’s very peaceful out there, just the culture and the tradition of the school, there’s so many great players and student athletes that came from the school. The coaches, they’re just great. I just love everything they’re running there. They really care for their student athletes on the field and off. They want to make sure you’re a better man going to the NFL and into life.”

Auburn, Alabama 'even' in recruiting 2020 Hueytown RB Roydell Williams
quote:
It could end up being an in-state recruiting battle for Hueytown running back Roydell Williams.
The 4-star 2020 prospect said Auburn and Alabama are "even" in terms of how hard they're recruiting him, with Florida and Mississippi State also in the mix, though he doesn't have a leader right now.
"I wouldn't say (Auburn is recruiting me) a lot harder than other schools, but they're really pushing it right now," Williams said following his visit to the Plains this weekend.
A lifelong Alabama fan, Williams said Auburn has made him its top priority at running back for 2020.
"It means a lot to me because this is one of the top schools in the NCAA (and) SEC," Williams said. "(The visit) went well. Met a lot of people. Bo Nix, wasn't my first time meeting him but just trying to build a relationship. Like they say, at Auburn you got to become a family here."
He likes Auburn's history of 1,000-yard rushers and Heisman Trophy winners as well as the downhill running style of backs in Gus Malzahn's offense.
Williams plans to visit Auburn again during a game weekend this fall, but doesn't plan to make a commitment until after his junior year.
He said what a school offers academically, the coaching staff and the overall environment are the most important factors in making his decision.

That is going to be hard to do with that schedule. South Carolina and Auburn have the best shot. Still don't see either team beating them. SC is still SC and Auburn can't beat a good team on the road.

No. 1 defensive tackle Ishmael Sopsher names "Lucky Seven"

quote:
Ishmael Sopsher is the No. 1 defensive tackle in the 2019 class and the star out of Amite (La.) is No. 9 overall.
He has come out on Twitter and named Alabama, Florida State, LSU, Ole Miss, Oregon, Texas and Texas A&M.
Many expect this to come down to Alabama and LSU, but when asked, Sopsher said that he currently has no favorites.

Josaih Hayes Has Alabama In His Top 3
I could dig a 2020 DT class of Jayson Jones, McKinnley Jackson and Josaih Hayes.
quote:
2020 4-Star defensive linemen, Josaih Hayes, received an offer from Alabama in June after he put on a great performance at Alabama’s DL/OL camp.
Hayes is a product of Horn Lake High School, the same school that Alabama target and the No. 1 linebacker in the nation, Nakobe Dean, attends. Hayes is set to make his own name in the recruiting realm as he holds offers from several top schools. He currently has a top 3 and Alabama is in it. He expressed to yours truly why the Tide made his list.
“I included Alabama because they are a successful program and I think if I commit there I will be surrounded by the best coaching staff and players in the nation,” Hayes said.
LSU and Ole Miss rounded out Hayes’ list. When he first received his offer from the Tide, he didn’t get a chance to see much of Alabama’s campus due to a lack of time. He plans to visit Alabama again and get the full experience.
The fact that the Tide have made a big impact on Hayes before he even got a complete look at what all they have to offer says a lot.
It is easy to see why the Tide wants this kid. He stands at 6-feet-3-inches and weighs 280 pounds. He moves pretty fast for a guy his size and has the strength to over power offensive linemen.
I could dig a 2020 DT class of Jayson Jones, McKinnley Jackson and Josaih Hayes.

Malachi Moore Enjoyed His Trip To Tuscaloosa
quote:
2020 4-Star defensive back, Malachi Moore, enjoyed his trip to Tuscaloosa for Alabama’s second cookout of the Summer.
Alabama offered Moore in June after a good camp performance. Moore’s teammates: Dazalin Worsham, Pierce Quick and Paul Tyson are already committed to Alabama and the Tide’s coaching staff expressed they can’t wait to have Moore on board.
“I mainly talked to coach Karl Scott and coach Key and I also met with coach Saban,” Moore said. “They were basically all saying the same thing like they were glad I was back on campus and can’t wait to get me on board.”
Alabama hosted several top athletes last Saturday. They got a chance to tour the University of Alabama as well as eat some great food.
“I got a chance to tour the school, went to the cookout and played games,” Moore said.
The Tide’s 2020 recruiting class currently has five commits. Javier Morton os the Tide’s only 2020 defensive back commit. A commitment for Moore will give Alabama two great defensive backs, but Moore is now set to focus on a great season with the Hewitt-Trussville Huskies.

I do not put to much into this weekend for UGA. Sure they landed some great recruits but my guess is they were basically committed(silently) and/or were told to hold off until this weekend to make it a big splash.
Kirby has to keep their fans fed and as you can tell uying into it. But I expect that with new HC and program looks to be going into the right direction. In the results on the field the only thing that will tell if headed in right direction or not

I think he will lose at either Florida or Tennessee. Mullen and Pruitt stand to gain so much from a win that I think both will pull out all the stops and one will get a win. It would be nice if they managed to lose 5 games (UT, UF, SC, AU, and GT). That would blow the wheels off of Kirby's recruiting bus.

I can't decide who I want to see lose more? UGA or LSU?

BOL Nuggets (VIP) -- condensed:
Darnell Wright -- Another great visit, particularly with his mother. There’s no question the Tide is in strong position, having knocked each visit Wright has been on out of the park.
Christian Harris -- Following this weekend's visit, the feeling is Alabama is inching close to landing this one at a major position of need.
Daxton Hill -- A couple more sources over the weekend have leaned towards picking the Tide in the race for Hill’s commitment as the 247Sports Crystal Ball has swayed in Bama’s favor.
Malachi Moore -- After picking up the long-awaited offer from the Tide earlier this summer, the 4-star CB and his camp returned for the cookout on Saturday with glowing reviews.
Kristian Story -- Sources close to him feel a decommitment from UT could be coming in the near future, and that Alabama is a major player for his services.

Interesting on Story. That's the first I've heard of him wavering. I'm going to ask around and see if any of the guys on the board that I frequent have seen him play or heard much about him.
