I guess I overlooked that Vonta Bentley committed to Clemson. I know he was down the pecking order at ILB, but still an odd recruitment.

Yeah, obviously Bama's staff isn't as high on Bentley as his rating/ranking would seem to warrant, but I haven't seen any mention of specific reason(s) why.

I just thought he would wait it out longer if he wanted to be in Tuscaloosa as bad as he indicated early on. But he went cold after Alabama focused on higher options.

My god, for such a big recruiting weekend I am bored to tears. Does anyone know where this guy is visiting this weekend? I have heard rumors he is at the top of our DB board.

Tyrique Stevenson's top contenders appear to be 1 Miami, 2 UGA, 3 Bama. His 247 timeline shows an unofficial visit to Miami on July 26. I didn't see anything on his twitter indicating he's visiting anywhere this weekend. He's not on the UGA recruiting thread visitors list (4th post). He might still be at Miami.

All jokes aside he wasn't a public visitor to Miami or FSU either. He definitely could have other things going on, but it seems like he keeps his visits on the down low. Was Pickens suppose to be at Auburn or FSU before visiting Bama tomorrow? FSU is reporting that he is at their event tonight.

His dad's car got a flat and he couldn't go to OU this weekend. It felt like the writing was on the wall after that.
