Daxton Hill
Alabama is in a good position to land Hill. He released a top 5 late last month, which included the Tide, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Michigan, Clemson and Ohio State. Hill has not provided a favorite but it is believed that he will make a decision this Summer. It was expected that he will take a visit to each school before making his decision but it doesn’t look like he will do that now. He has revealed that he will announce his commitment soon. Something to pay attention to though is his brother, Justice Hill, is actually a running back for Oklahoma State. This one is going to basically come down to whatever program makes Hill feel the most at home.

Ishmael Sopsher
This is another Bama Vs LSU recruitment battle that is up in the air. LSU is recruiting Sopsher very heavily, making sure he will not leave the state of Louisiana. The Tide did get him to campus on A-Day and should get some more visits out of him. He is definitely interested in the Tide and it all comes down if they can make him feel like Tuscaloosa is the best place for him.

Trey Sanders
Sanders has had an interesting recruitment thus far. He was once committed to Alabama but decided to de-commit to open up his options. He did say Alabama would remain as one of his top schools. Many teams have made up ground since Sander’s de-commitment, especially Florida. They have become a huge player in the battle for the top running back in the nation. Sanders has the whole package. He is explosive and very elusive. He can make juke moves on the dime, which enables him to take advantage of his great vision. The fact that he goes to IMG Academy will only help his game developed more as he gets the chance to travel around the nation and battle it out against the best. The Tide has gotten a commitment from him once. It’ll be interesting to see if they could do it again.

Quavaris Crouch
Crouch is the top athlete in this class. The Tide does have the advantage of the fact that they offered Crouch over a year ago and have been able to build a connection with him. Crouch is a bit of a taller back at 6-feet-2-inches but knows how to use his height to stride and make up ground quickly. There is no secret that this kid is one of the most highly recruited backs in this class. He has not released a top school list yet, but have been visiting many different places. Alabama’s wide receiver coach, Josh Gattis, took a visit to see him on April, 28. This could be a huge get for the Tide if they can land Crouch.

U think he is a round two or three guy if he doesn't play. Will show out at camp and that's all that matters it seems these days. Still don't know how the Bears picked Kevin White over Coop smh.

Bo Scarborough played 10 times more in college than Lewis, but his injury history dropped him down to the later rounds. It happens every year.

I think a good comparable is Gronk. He was a projected high 1st round pick who sat out his entire junior year due to back surgury before declaring for the draft. He ended up sliding to the 2nd round 42nd overall. The difference with him is he had really good tape from his freshman and sophomore years. Even with a strong combine/pro day without game tape, I can't see him going any higher than the 3rd round. A strong year at Bama in 2019 likely makes him a 1st rounder. Money wise mid first round vs 3rd round is a difference of 7-10 million in guaranteed money if you compare it to the 2017 draft.

They didn’t. The Raiders drafted Amari at 4 before Da Bears took White at 7.

This stuff never gets old

He looked like shite last year. Also the NFL values pass rushers more than anything.

This is true, RB's are risky to draft but pass rushers fill up drafts

Because the Bears organization is a F joke. There record over the past 20 years rival Cleveland.

I'm test driving a new visual design of the Commitment Timeline post, just using the commitment watch section as a pilot. Let me know what you think (awesome, too cluttered, pictures are for people who can't read etc.). If you like it I will adjust the rest of the prospects and likely split it into 2 post depending on how much character space I have.
TOP TARGETS ~ Commit Timelines - All dates subject to change
Commitment Watch

Early Enrollee - Said Mid-season after OVs but Crystal Balls are trending heavily to Bama

committing soon per twitter account on 7/4

Early Enrollee - likely December but is currently trending to Bama per 247

Looks fine but with as much time that y’all put into this, y’all should have your own website with database and forum. That’s one of the things that I do for fun so let me know if you would like me to spin up something like that. The last project I worked on for football (before 247) was a recruit database where each recruit had their own page that had articles and quotes similar to this thread. It also had all their rankings and stuff. It was basically the 247 player profile but members were allowed to rank the prospects themselves as well as discuss them directly from their prospect page.

Lewis doesn't have hardly any film at all. No way he goes pro before 2019 season unless he is able to come back for the playoffs this year and just dominates those two games like Payne dominated in the playoffs last year. Anything short of that, he will need to come back and play in 2019, and if he can stay healthy--he could position himself as a 1st round pick. Personally, I hope he can make it back and be dominant in the playoffs this year, if Bama can get there. Odds are, he will be a spot pass rusher at best if he can get back for the playoffs, and will still need the 2019 season.

Looking at 2020 there are quite a few great players in the DC/Maryland area. It would be great to hang onto Locks and continue that pipeline.

There was a lot of talk from the “experts” about it because of whites measurable but the Raiders did the smart thing.

In reference to Lewis and draft position:
- Don’t underestimate practice film ( Frazier from last draft)
- probably won’t be able to get an insurance policy
I hope he comes back but anywhere in first 3 rounds would be a “go” unless he can get insured
