Truss will have to come to camp to earn an offer if what I'm hearing is correct. Needs to show better footwork and balance. With us in good position with Quick (obviously), Kight, and Darnell Wright, I'd be surprised if we get him .

Here is a twitter video of a little white kid trying to fit in by dancing.

You'd think a bunch of gym rats could get their shite together and dance

I'm a whitey and a damn good dancer!
My sons are good and my sister is awesome, but my brothers are like the white kid in the video.

I was always athletic and good at pretty much anything. I can't play golf or dance though. If my life depended on either of those, I'd just tell em to go ahead and end it. No use in wasting everyone's time

If things like golf, tennis, dancing or skiing don't come easily, it's best to take some lessons from someone who's really good at teaching. It's all about building up the right muscle memory in stages. You gotta get the fundamentals grooved into muscle memory. Most girls can learn to dance easily if a guy who's a good leader teaches them. Guys gotta have a good leader to teach them how to lead and a girl to practice with in order to groove it into muscle memory.
You can learn and master the proper golf swing quickly and cheaply -- from Ben Hogan's very short book The Modern Fundamentals of Golf. He breaks the swing into four parts and shows you how to build each one into muscle memory. His book actually makes it incredibly simple and easy to create and keep the proper golf swing. My buddy and I did it with that book and going together to the practice range often for several weeks, so we could coach each other.

We must be related.

I think we end up with McCullough, Grant, and Andrews at Safety and Williams at Corner.

I'm still pretty dang good at tennis. I was a natural at it. Football and basketball were the same ways. Golf and dancing own my arse. I'm not blessed with patience so that doesn't help
Saint, it's good to know that someone else struggles with my handicap. Misery loves company
For the record, I'd love to start playing golf. I just suck so bad that it's not fair for everyone else on the course that day. I'm that bad

Get that book and a buddy and coach each other. You build the 4 stages of the swing -- (1) grip, stance, posture; (2) initial takeaway; (3) upward backswing; (4) downswing and follow thru -- into muscle memory (1 stage at a time) without even hitting a ball.
Then go together and work at the driving range and fine tune it until your consistently hitting well. Use only a 6 or 7 iron until you've got it down pat. Then work gradually into the shorter and longer clubs. The swing is the same for all clubs. You just slightly adjust the forward tilt of your upper torso, and slightly close your stance for longer clubs and slightly open it for shorter clubs. For shots shorter than pitching wedge range, you just shorten your back swing.
Wait until you get consistent at the range, before you go on the course and play. Work on putting, fringe and sand shots at the practice green. That's where you cut the strokes off your score. Go to the practice green and also split a bucket of balls with your buddy warming up right before you play. It was amazing how fast my buddy and I got good. We worked for a month before we played. Within two more months, playing twice a week, we were consistent low 80s golfers. In the next season we got consistently below 80.

I’m a hiker these days. Work in the treadmill when the weather doesn’t allow.
