Sunday Musings
Thoughts from a Bama fan with no inside knowledge, film analysis ability, or even a pay subscription account.
Running back:
I am very excited about Trey Sanders likely recommitting to Bama. He is arguably the most talented back in the class and has a combination of measurables and skills we were missing from last year's class in the position.
Even though he will likely not be in our class, I really like Deondrick Glass, he is my second favorite back in this class and I think he will have a strong college career.
Wide Receiver:
I think Devonta Lee and Milton Wright are the only 2 legitimate WR targets on the board. I don't believe Jameson Williams is going anywhere but Ohio State and I think Pickens is staying with Auburn.
Offensive Line:
My prediction is that Evan Neal ends up in this class not Darnell Wright. I know that recruiting media gets made fun of because they practically never mention Bama as a frontrunner for Wright but the consistancy makes me nervous. I know that most people believe that because Saban and Wright are both from West Virginia that it gives us a leg up but I am skeptical. There isn't much history of us recruiting the state, mainly because it doesn't produce as much talent as other states. While Neal's decommitment would typically make me think we have less of a chance with the player, I actually feel the opposite about him. I feel like his brief commitment showed where his heart truly is and if we push he will join this class.
Even though Webb waiting until December makes me nervous I am 99% sure he commits to Bama.
Defensive Line:
Sospher will likely be my biggest miss this class as I continue to be skeptical that he is a silent/Bama lean. I think we end up with some combination of Ika, Tuitele, and Wright. Substitute Leal for one of those if he flips. I do believe Leal doesn't end up at A&M and lands with us or Texas.
Linebackers:
I stated earlier that I believe Kayvon Thibodeaux would come down to Bama vs USC with FSU on the outside. Recent news about his relationship with USC only reinforces that to me. If he is being up front about what he wants from the school he chooses Bama and USC easily ticks the most boxes out of his top 5.
Nakobe Dean's recruitment will make me nervous until a fax is received about where he goes. No amount of twitter likes will change that. The combination of being a Mississippi recruit and Kirby being our primary competition is too much for me to ever feel comfortable about where he lands.
I have no feel about how we finish with this group.
Defensive Backs:
If Daxton Hill commits, I think we are done at DB, unless Akeem Dent or Tyrique Stevenson wants in. I believe they are takes regardless until we run out of room. With the way this class is going Kaiir Elam will commit tomorrow.

I am by no means an insider, but I will know more about Dean when high school football season starts back. Pretty good friends with the Horn Lake staff.. I will atleast know who is visiting him the most..lol I doubt they will tip his hand, but I will know where he is leaning the hardest.. highschool kids talk and coach’s hear.

If I was going to pretend to be something I'm not, it wouldn't be a Bama recruiting insider.

They offered him a scholarship that says it all.

Sunday Musings
Thoughts from a Bama fan with no inside knowledge, film analysis ability, or even a pay subscription account...
Based on where Bama appears to be situated right now with their targets, here's my forecast:
Bama will likely add Trey Sanders, Devonta Lee, Clay Webb, one of Darnell Wright or Evan Neal, Ishmael Sopsher, Nakobe Dean and Daxton Hill.
Bama might land/take 1-2 more among these: Pickens or M Wright; Tuitele, Ika, Pickering or Leal; Thibodeaux, To'oto'o, Bogle, C Harris or Diabate; Dent, Stevenson, or Pola-Gates.
Additional qualifier: Recruiting is fluid.
ETA: I agree with you on Neal and D Wright. If Neal decides he definitely wants in while Wright remains uncertain, I think Bama will take Neal.
Sunday Musing: Maybe Devonta and Ishmael don't want to go public on coming to Bama until NSD to avoid harrassment by the crazy segment of local LSU fans. That problem is real. But, I think Saban would love to complete and put a bow on the 2019 recruiting class in December. So, hopefully those two will agree to sign early, perhaps secretly. It would be awesome if Bama finished in December and could focus 100% on 2020 starting in January while everyone else is still battling it out on finishing their 2019 class.

I watch a lot of football on TV and waste a lot of time on message boards.
Pretty sure that makes me an expert.

huddie pandy bear peckerwrecker ways in on it.
Way out of bounds my dude. First, huddie didn't use the recruiting thread. Second, every new user isn't an alter. Third, calling folks childish names is just childish.

Actually, Huddie did troll in the recruiting thread with his worn out Jalen vs Tua crap. His repeated frick you defiance of warnings to cease doing it is why he got banned. Same for River City Tider.

Not out of bounds to me. Huddie was a dickhead that messed up every thread he ever posted in. I was only poking fun at the pandy guy because he made a Jalen remark. Huddie and river shitty tider deserve whatever shite gets flung their way.
