We need to open a few training centers in West Africa while we're at it.

Dude, I love you but 5 of the 6 up guys you list are not seen as Bama leans nationally (though we may feel good about them (and Trey maybe makes it 4/6) and 5 of the 6 down guys are current commits/heavy national leans.

Eta: Commits - 3 down, 2 no change, O up. I thought they even wrote an article on Kight dominating then left him at no change.

Eta2: Here is the Kight blurb (maybe I'm misreading something because it said he moved up):

"... Two big men that made nice jumps were offensive tackle Amari Kight and defensive tackle Jowon Briggs. For Kight, his athleticism really stands out and he could be a guy to keep an eye on for five-star status if he continues to improve and dominate."

Eta3: Surge - I realize I'm in full homer mode right now.

My post wasn't aimed at challenging your point about Rivals/Farrell being anti-Bama. I agree with it.

I simply listed the guys in the new Rivals100 that Bama is targeting and has a decent chance of landing -- for everyone's convenience. Rutherford is the only one I listed who's not on our current Top Targets list, but he's on the bubble.

I don't know what my problem is - I'm usually more balanced. I think I need the season to start.

No worries, I understand. I just thought as Tidal said he was listing the Bama commits and targets in the Rivals top 100 not referencing their movement or leans (or a Rivals bias).

However I do want to point out of the four leans to other places you mentioned:

Akeem Dent - already committed to FSU and right now if he flips it is most likely to us.

Ishmael Sospher - It is just us or LSU and even though the CBs say LSU it is a toss up.

Nakobe Dean - Same as Sospher except with Georgia.

Daxton Hill - If we are in second it is to Oklahoma. Forget the decommit crap, I got him confused with Carter.

Relatively speaking we are in good shape for all of these guys.

I can see how you could easily mistake my intent.

A few thoughts:

To be clear: I don't have much respect at all for Mike Farrell's evaluations or opinions.

It's early. The recruits haven't even played their senior season yet. Rankings will change a lot.

A player's ranking can rise or drop even when his own rating didn't change. It can be due to other players' ratings rising or falling relative to theirs.

CBs should be scrutinized carefully; e.g., who made the picks, when, why, etc. Some picks are just following suit with others. Steve Wiltfong makes lots of wrong picks, based on stuff like a kid's temporary visit high, HS coach's opinion, etc. and then changes them later on. In contrast, Hank South and Tim Watts (BOL) don't make haphazard picks; they want good intel and very high confidence before placing a pick. The main purpose of the entire CBs game is to boost subscriptions, traffic, clicks, etc.

The bottom line is that Rivals went down the tubes as soon as their top talent left to start 247. They are so bad, in fact, that they really either need to get a lot better or do what Scout did--and that's cease to exist. The anti-Bama flavor of their articles, predictions, rankings, etc stinks of major sour grapes.

I don't know what they base their rankings off is my issue with rivals. I saw a video where they said quick did good at their camp or whatever now he is dropped.

Their ranking of Pierce Quick may be the biggest proof of either their incompetence as talent evaluators, or their anti-Bama hatred. Or perhaps both. This guy dominates on film, is excellent in camps, is rated very highly by all other services and Rivals continues to drop him. Idiotic.

Sounds like Umstead Sanders is set to enroll at UF later this month. That would, of course, give them a huge leg up for Trey.

If he goes to UF, I hope we are still able to get another "big" back on board this year. If not we going to be out there trying to pull Zacahry Evans, Marshawn Lloyd and Roydell Williams next year.

Makes sense why Rivals would give Trey a small bump.
