Exactly the point I was trying to make lol. It was the end of the world when Brown went somewhere else lol.
Yep. And by signing day, Rashad Cheney will probably be 6-4, as tall as Bobby Brown. Unlike Brown (who was telling Bama and ATM both he would sign with them), Cheney has shut down his recruitment.

If Saban and crew - including coach kool - accept d his commitment then we all should be excited. Too many amateur scouts and star gazers basing opinion off a few minutes of highlight tape. Bradley Chubb wasn’t very highly recruited. He’s about to be a top 10 pick.
They've also offered players that haven't worked out. This is a forum for people to discuss things, vent, and give their opinions. If you can't handle differing opinions, then I really don't understand why you are here. We aren't sheep that are supposed to blindly walk around and be happy with everything.

Speaking of prospects from the state of Georgia and Auburn University, the boogs have picked up 3 CBs for 5-star linebacker Owen Pappoe in the last 24 hours.
How does this keep happening with Auburn and Georgia kids

Pappoe is pretty small to be ranked the #1 OLB prospect. His measurables, 6-0/211 (4.5 40-yd), seem to fit safety (or ILB) more than OLB.

Nakobe Dean has similar measurables.

Nakobe Dean is an ILB prospect. 6-0 to 6-2 is pretty common for ILB, but OLB is usually > 6-2.
Sidenote: Rivals has Dean at 6-1. He may be 6-0.5 -- Rivals may round up and 247 may truncate. But 247 isn't good about keeping measurables current, so he may actually be 6-1 now.

Dean has the instincts and speed to play either IMO. And will at Alabama. At least early one. But Saban and Co. are cross training all of them these days.

Truth is half the players Nick signed from the state of Georgia was processed and some that stayed had problems toeing the line. Geno Smith....I will drink to that.

True, they do cross train them. But not all of them learn to play all 4 spots really well. Jacks and Sams cross-train a lot. ILBs and Sams do too. Only a few ever actually move around and play 3-4 LB spots in games.

Has Auburn had a linebacker drafted in the first round in this century? Serious question. My initial thought is no.

Wasn't Dansby a 1st round pick back in 05?

Interesting though that of all the HOF caliber/Legendary LBs hell even very legitimate 8 - 10 yr NFL starting guys that have come out of Bama...U of A has never had a LB that was taken as the 1st overall pick
Auburn has............
Things that make you go hmmm.........
