This was already addressed; jatebe's post was in response to FWBFLlaw's post.

Regarding my TEST DATA image announcing @247Sports Transfer Portal Product. Chistopher Allen from Alabama is not in the Transfer Portal. Our engineers used his name as test data and I didn't properly screen the dummy image. I apologize for the inconvenience it caused Allen.

Best of the best: The 32 final 5-stars for 2019, including new No. 1 (247Sports | segments)
Antonio Alfano

Antonio Alfano
quote:
Our final answer on the class of 2019 is in. We have finalized our five-star rankings, an annual list of the 32 players we think are the best in the class — the 32 players most likely to have college careers that lead to first round NFL Draft futures.
Our full and final Top247 will be released on Wednesday, followed by additional state and position rankings that will be filled out and updated all the way up to National Signing Day in February.
But first, here’s what we think of the very best the class of 2019 has to offer.
1. Antonio Alfano, DL, New Jersey (Alabama enrollee)
On the football field, we couldn’t find anything not to like about Alfano’s game and physical skillset. We tried to find a flaw but after he dominated all week at the All-American Bowl, dominated all season as a senior and has tested out some of the best raw athleticism numbers in the nation, it was hard to argue anyone else was better. He has a Bosa-like profile and we expect him to made an immediate impact, even at Alabama.

14. Trey Sanders, RB, Florida
(Alabama signee)
Sanders is a really safe bet at running back and he’s got a case for the top back in the class. Every big game that IMG Academy played, he showed up in a big way.
30. Jeffery Carter, CB, Texas
(Alabama enrollee)
A cornerback with the elite traits that you want with good size, 4.3 speed in the 40, ball skills and the ability to be a factor in run support.
32. Evan Neal, OT, Florida
(Alabama enrollee)
He has been the best offensive lineman at IMG Academy for a couple of years now and when his weight is under control, Neal is elite. He dominated once again at Under Armour and he looks like a very safe bet at offensive tackle.

Are you serious? Rare is the best. Drain the blood, hold it over a fire letting the flames barley touch both sides, then eat it. That thing can still be mooing.

When I was young and dumb, I ate steaks medium-well. I learned that rare is the way to go. Much better flavor.

Why is Neal ranked so low by 247?

Why is Neal ranked so low by 247?
Evaluations on OL, especially tackles is based almost entirely on projections. Neal is projecting on some sites so well because of his athleticism and the weight loss he had so far being used as evidence of his work ethic/want to. Other sites are more tempered because he still has to fill out with muscle/avoid gaining bad weight and his athleticism may not translate into being a great tackle.

Always been medium-rare for me. As flavorful as rare without being dang-near raw inside. I was lucky growing up -- all the steak you can eat. My stepfather had a big cattle farm.

Transfer Portal: Tracking players exploring transfer options (247Sports)
![](https://s3media.247sports.com/Uploads/Assets/931/967/8967931.jpg)
quote:
College football's offseason is now dominated by transfers and the NCAA's transfer portal.
Starting Oct. 15, 2018 student athletes were allowed to enter their names into a transfer portal, which allows schools to initiate contact with them. While a player entering their name in the transfer portal does not mean a player intends to transfer, the portal's presence has given athletes options they didn't have before. Athletes can pursue and talk to other schools without restriction, all the while remaining enrolled at their present school.
There are risks. Players who enter their names could potentially lose their scholarship's at semester's end, and a program is under no obligation to keep player on the roster that explores transfer options. Additionally, any non-graduate who opts to transfer must still sit out a season due to NCAA transfer rules unless granted a waiver.
For a full explanation of what the transfer portal is and how it works (I promise nobody is actually transported to a different dimension) check out this in-depth explanation.
It's a weird time as players, coaches and administrators alike feel out the system. To help readers keep track of everything happening, this is a running list of every Power Five player who's placed their name in the transfer portal along with where they eventually land...
