Hank posted that he just spoke with Bogle and gets the sincere impression that he is still torn between Bama and Miami and hasn’t decided yet. Said he isn’t talking to either coaching staffs anymore until he decides.
Hank’s keeping his old CB on Bama but says he feels like Bogle honestly doesn’t know right now.

SAN ANTONIO — The final day of competitive practice is in the books at the All-American Bowl. Friday walk-throughs is the only thing separating us from the game on Saturday (but Thursday was another extremely revealing day on the practice field.
Here are the top performers from Thursday — combining both East and West — and there is a familiar name at the top.
QBs are addressed in a separate piece.
247 Composite ranking in parenthesis.
ALPHA DOG
It’s a broken record at this point but there’s no getting around it. DeMarvin Leal (30) has been the single most dominant player in San Antonio during practice. Whether it translates to the game or not, Leal has put his stamp on the Alamodome already. I’m running out of ways to say he’s unblockable. There’s an athleticism and strength combination that is rare but I really think the most unique quality Leal possesses is effort and competitiveness. Rarely do we see a highly-touted player come into a setting like this and play with the kind of effort and intensity that Leal has shown. He did that on film, too, as a senior so he leaves little doubt that he’ll maximize his ability. There’s no question the Texas A&M signee is one of the truly elite players in this class.

TOP 10 PERFORMERS
DL Drake Jackson (165) - 247Sports analyst Charles Power remarked after Thursday’s practice that it’s a race to the quarterback between Jackson and Leal and that’s exactly the case. Collectively the offensive line just can’t block the two and it has made things difficult on the passing game. Jackson is winning with great hands and quickness of the snap.
LB Lance Dixon (195) - The Penn State signee was very active on Thursday, not only making plays between the tackles in the run game but also hawking down plays with speed in pursuit. He has really good length but plays fast and is physical as well.
OT Logan Brown (17) - There are some really talented defensive linemen in San Antonio that are slicing up offensive linemen but Brown is one of the few that can handle the athleticism. His length is so rare and that is creating a challenge for pass rushers. He also is physical on several occasions, even in pass protection, he caved the defensive line. Brown has signed with Wisconsin.
LB Marcel Brooks (44) - Brooks’ speed flashes as much or more than any defensive player in San Antonio. He’s a space linebacker that is best in a hybrid role and there were several eye-popping snaps where his acceleration to the football, particularly behind the line of scrimmage created negative plays. Brooks is headed to LSU.
LB De'Gabriel Floyd (64) - Lining up in the middle of the defense, Floyd has been around the football all week, and especially on Thursday. He has a great nose for the ball, great ability to recognize and diagnose and gets downhill in a hurry. Floyd is going to Texas.
LB Christian Harris (145) - Among the linebackers in the All-American Bowl, and nationally, there are very few that have as much upside as Harris. Despite his background at cornerback and receiver, he has taken to linebacker really well. He sees things naturally, has easy athleticism, can play both inside and outside and hasn’t shied away from the physical side of the position. Harris is an Alabama signee.
DL Antonio Alfano (28) - It was more of the same from Alfano. The Alabama signee showed quickness and strength at the snap and the flexibility to get skinny and penetrate the line of scrimmage. He landed another sack in 11 on 11 play and created a lot of negative plays once again.
DL Byron Young (88) - The light seems to have turned on for Young, an Alabama commit that keeps getting better as the week has progressed. Not only is he showing the kind of strength that we expected this week but he’s been really athletic and nimble inside as well.
WR Puka Nacua (217) - This was another day in which Nacua really excelled within the flow of the offense. He had several catches during 7-on-7, had two touchdowns during a team period and even threw for one.
CB Marcus Banks (189) - Banks has shown really elite coverage instincts but also has the ability to attack the football and make plays in coverage without getting grabby, without panic. He had several breakups both down the field and breaking downhill on the football.

BEST OF THE REST
One of the fastest wide receivers at the event, Jaylen Ellis (455) also had one of the most impressive catches of the day, showcasing that long speed and the ability to go up and get the football with a defender in phase.
At the running back position there isn’t always opportunity to make splash plays in thud sessions but LINK ]Trey Sanders (5) has impressed with just the speed of play that he brings. He presses the hole effectively and has been really versatile with his ability to catch out of the backfield and show big time burst in space.
It was another really solid day for the Ohio State signee Garrett Wilson (16). He’s always good for a concentration drop but at his best he may be the best receiver here.
One of the best pure talents at wide receiver is the Virginia Tech commit Jaden Payoute (177). He’s got great size and he’s got pure long speed and natural hands. He was one of the best deep threats at practice once again on Thursday.
Iowa State signee Breece Hall (461) has been solid throughout the week but on Thursday he had his first splash play with a one handed touchdown grab that looked as smooth as any wide receiver all week long.
It was another solid afternoon for Tyrique Stevenson (38), a big cornerback that is comfortable on an island. He had a few pass breakups including one lock-down rep in the red zone.
Texas signee Tyler Owens (197) continues to impress us. Not only did he have an interception for the second straight day but he also had a tackle for loss in a team period. He has so much upside with his length, speed and ball skills.

Bogle will have to put on some weight. He holds his own against bigger guys but if Cochran can get ahold of him, it will help him tremendously.

Are you telling me that we will lose out on our top 3 pass rushers

I don't know why I had a dumb moment...

My remaining wish list in order:
1) To’oto’o
2) One of our top DL targets (this includes Young)
3) Bogle
4) Another of our top DL targets
5) Robinson
6) One of our top CB targets (this includes Williams)
So Bogle is basically second on my list as I can’t imagine we don’t get at least one of our DL targets.
Having said that, if we miss on him I think Harris and King will be really good (especially considering they will be the recruits in between Anoma/Latu and Braswell/Grimes).

Henry To'oto'o
"I will be heading to Tennessee next weekend, then I go out to the Polynesian Bowl and then after that, I'll be going to Alabama... Oregon, I may go at the end of the month, but we'll see how time works out. But for sure, I'll be visiting Tennessee and Alabama."

It's always been that way. They cannot fix the problem.
