Tha field for the National Championship game looks like shite

quote:

The national championship will be played here at Levi Stadium in 7 days. It has chunks of mixed, uneven grass like this all over. Plus, ton of spots filled with green sand to cover smaller holes

Looks like Tide or Die filled you in. He is a rapper who was once known for his Bart Simpson diamond encrusted medallion. Also he was kind of crazy. Now he looks like this.

I think Bogle is going to go all the way to Feb 6 regardless of who he picks next week. It looks like Bama vs Miami is a tough choice for him.

Levi field has always been a problem. Wouldn't surprise me if the footing is dicey for the game. Hoping it won't be a problem for either team.

Trey Sanders plans to enroll this spring instead of in Jan.

Sanders ain’t winning the Heisman skipping spring practice. Bad move if he really wants a lot of PT in 2019.

"This spring," as in he'll be there for spring practice? Or will he miss it?

Is Sanders enrolling later this spring or for fall semester? Just asking because January through May is usually referred to as spring semester.

I vaguely recall people posting in the past that Bama has a 2nd Spring "minimester" that players can enroll in and participate in Spring Practice instead of enrolling in Jan. I've asked Hank whether Trey will be doing that. Awaiting reply.

Eta: In the mean time I did some research. Bama does offer split Spring 1 and Spring 2 miniterms.

LINK ]Under Armour All-America Game: Will these five flip - or not? (Rivals | segments)

George Pickens
quote:

ORLANDO, FL -- There are a lot of major recruits at the Under Armour All-America Game that are verbally committed to a school but did not sign during the Early Signing Period in December. Now those players are going to feel the pressure of the last month of the recruiting cycle as many teams try to get them to flip. Here are some predictions on whether or not five verbal commits end up signing with different schools.

LINK ]George Pickens is one of two five-stars that Auburn holds commitments from, but he's the only one who hasn't already signed. He showed up on check-in day repping Georgia and LSU gear and both of those schools have already hosted him for visits. LSU hosted Pickens for an official visit about a month ago and Georgia, which hosted him a few times during the season, will get an official visit in January. Tennessee, Florida State and Florida - along with Ohio State - are very much in the mix. There is a lot of smoke around Pickens, and there a lot of teams pushing for him, but it’s hard to say any team other than Auburn is a real contender.

Prediction: Auburn

LINK ]Nathan Pickering has made it no secret that he's listening to other schools that come calling, and it's clear that Alabama is the biggest threat to steal him away from Mississippi State. He has an official visit set up to Tuscaloosa as soon as the dead period ends in January, followed by official visits to LSU and Oregon. Mississippi State will get him back for an official visit the very last weekend before National Signing Day. If Alabama can sustain its momentum from the early January visit it should be able to flip him, but players from Mississippi that are committed to one of the in-state programs are notoriously difficult to flip.

Prediction: Mississippi State

LINK ]Christian Williams has been committed to Alabama since April, but he held off from signing in the Early Signing Period because he wasn't able to find the time to schedule the visits that he wanted. Now Williams has official visits scheduled in January to LSU, Alabama and Oregon. Williams took a couple unofficial visits to LSU during the season and there are rumors flying that the Tigers could end up flipping Williams. Both Alabama and LSU are really tight on scholarships, but it sounds like LSU could end up having space for another defensive back, giving them the best chance to sign Williams.

Prediction: LSU

Let me guess. Since it's a Rivals article, none of the other school's targets flip except for Bama's. I assume they'll have Byron Young going to MSU.

LINK ]Under Armour All-America Game: Stock Report from day two (Rivals | segments)
quote:

ORLANDO, FL -- After a practice under the lights Sunday, the Under Armour All-Americans hit the field Monday morning for practice No. 2. It was still somewhat of a light practice, and not a lot of live action in pads, but after watching almost three hours of practice, here is the Stock Report for day two.

STOCK UP

LINK ]Evan Neal dwarfs every player on the field, but moves better than most of the offensive linemen. It should be hard for a player as big as he is to stay low and be quick enough to get into his pass set, but the Alabama signee does it with ease. Neal didn't lose a rep during the one-on-one session, showing great technique and timing. The way he dominated the competition throughout the practice was extremely impressive.

STOCK DOWN

LINK ]Amari Kight had some solid reps Monday, but in live action he struggled a good bit. He looked a little unsure going against top-end defensive ends. The Alabama signee was off balance, lunging at times and just struggled much of the day.
