Oh yea. I predict Battle, Neal, To’oto’o and a backup plan at RB . Not sure if staff will wait around on Williams or move on if someone wants to sign Wednesday .

If we lose out on these guys, then we really need to re-evaluate our closing techniques. We need to start throwing mud like everyone else

I just don’t like the slow playing technique on some kids if they are equal or close to equal in ability . To me if you offer somebody it shouldn’t be “ we are offering you but want you to hold off on committing and see what happens elsewhere first “ type deal

Remember the expose' of the ole miss payola and there were coaches raising concerns... "What, that guy is a lb and he is not going to Bama?" well, seems to fit here. Why would a LB or CB or RB not go to Bama if they have a offer and would be accepted if they said yes? The only issue with RB's this year is there were too many getting on the field each game (not that that is a problem) but could see guys wanting to touch the ball 20-30 times a game. (again, this is just my opinion and I could be mistaken) The constant "Saban will not be there for your time at Bama" and who knows what else seems to get to some of these guys (17-18 yo kids)

If you have to kiss their azz to get them then expect to have to kiss their azz to keep them. Let them play their games elsewhere.

Because kids aren't machines and they have different wants, desires, goals, etc.

Well, if these kids are those types, we made bad evaluations and wasted a whole lot of time chasing kids who want arse kissing (I don't believe this applies to most of these kids anyway).
It's not like we just met these kids 3 weeks ago. We know who they are and we evaluate them inside and out. The staff clearly thinks these are kids that we want and can succeed here or they won't keep chasing them.
So, I guess, I doubt that is the real issue with any of these guys, it's just a coping mechanism to make us feel better about losing them.

Exactly. We will be fine. There are several great players already committed and we have some already in the fold. We miss every year on some big time players, but we have the GOAT. I will worry after he retires. Until then, just enjoy and don’t melt over 17-18 y.o. players.

With all of the Stuff that is at Bama and keeps getting added every year and the shows showing the trips to the lake and outings at Saban's, seems there would be more "Its about Business at Bama; but they have a lot of fun, win Championships and put guys in the League"..

Wished they were all like ALFANO in their recruiting. Would make things so much easier and less crazy at the end
