Correct. Does anyone know who else (if anyone else) has ever had NC rings as both a coach and a player? I believe THE BEAR may have, but I don't know.

Bryant won the 1935 Rose Bowl as a player. The 1934 team has been recognized by several selectors as national champions.
Bryant of course won 6 poll title as head coach at Alabama.

Mal one a ring as a player and ended up with same # NC rings that Coach Bryant had. The ring he got as AD (Correction OC under Stallings) in 1992 and Bryant got one as a player.
