Fitting for the way things have gone this year. Lol. Sounds pissy with only losing one game but the injuries and bad news in recruiting that seem to keep coming. Amazing the team has held together as well as they have

I don’t really believe that. If everything we’re hearing is true then they wouldn’t accept Nadab’s NLI because of grade concerns but they did accept Jobe despite the fact he does have grade concerns? That doesn’t add up.

Yeah. I'm also skeptical that there are any real serious concerns.

Hmm nice point but I believe Nadab issues were transcript related and not particularly grades. Don't they flag your transcript if you were once doing terrible then all of a sudden you start doing well?

Brandon Turnage on why he chose Alabama:

quote:

“What really went into the decision was being that I had an injury — I tore my Lisfranc ligament in my foot — and Bama has had players have tears and they’ve worked with those players and still got them to the league,” Turnage told BamaOnLine. “That was a big factor in it.”

Um, can't this be a career killer, especially for a DB?

Recruiting question of the day: Which 5-star recruits might commit to Alabama?

quote:

Only five 5-star recruits remain unsigned. Alabama is in the mix for four of those players: cornerbacks Tyson Campbell, Isaac Taylor-Stuart and Patrick Surtain Jr. and offensive tackle Nicholas Petit-Frere.

As of now, I can see the Tide getting one of those cornerbacks and Petit-Frere.

The cornerbacks are expected to visit Tuscaloosa at some point in January. Campbell has been the Tide’s top target at cornerback pretty much since the start of the year. It looked like Alabama was in excellent position to land Campbell this past summer when he visited. There was a lot of momentum on the Tide’s side, but, as recruiting goes, the visit high died down after some time and Georgia and Miami started to gain ground. It seems like it’ll be a three-team race to land Campbell’s signature. Alabama has a wide-open depth chart it can sell to Campbell with the team likely losing six defensive backs after this season.

Taylor-Stuart listed Alabama as his leader at one point during his recruitment. Last year, he visited Tuscaloosa during the summer and named the Tide his leader and that held for several months. His interest in Alabama waned a bit and schools such as Georgia, Texas A&M and USC started gaining ground. Alabama had other targets ahead of Taylor-Stuart on the board, but with Nadab Joseph flipping from Alabama to Georgia during the early signing period, that may open a spot for Taylor-Stuart.

Surtain has listed LSU as his leader for more than a year now, but for some reason he hasn’t committed to the Tigers. I still think LSU is the team to beat, but maybe Alabama can make a late run at him next month.

Petit-Frere has been Alabama’s top offensive tackle target for several months. He’ll likely commit to either Alabama, Florida, Michigan, Notre Dame or Ohio State. He stays very quiet when it comes to which way he’s leaning, but he has already taken official visits to South Bend and Ann Arbor. He’ll likely make his way to Tuscaloosa in January before making his decision in February. We’ll know more about where Petit-Frere stands at the end of the week when SEC Country travels to Orlando for the Under Armour All-America Game.

Don’t forget that the Tide already have a 5-star prospect in the 2018 class. Jack linebacker Eyabi Anoma signed during the early signing period.

What the hell did he do?

FWIW 247 guys don't think the "no longer welcome" part is true. There was a RB group pic just a few days ago with Pettway included. I think someone is overblowing the story

But he's definitely not coming back next season. Has a wife and daughter. He's gonna try & land somewhere in the NFL next year

Hope all had a Wonderful Christmas and enjoyed yourselves.
Been chatting with Saint, and going to try to compare some '19 stuff, with his help, and of course info that comes through here.

Almost done with my board and we'll see what info we can share. Thanks for the hospitality.

Sister and brother-in-law are diehard Bama. When I get UGA gear, I grab them stuff. Y'all seen any Sugar Bowl jerseys? TIA

I'd say that's highly likely. Think ITS wants to play in the SEC. Pretty sure Surtain and Campbell do as well.

There's a premium article about Slade on BOL. He predicted Alabama to beat Clemson 36-24.

I don’t think either team will score 30 points. I also wouldn’t have thought Alabama would give up as many points as it did the last two meetings, so what do I know.

Speaking of jerseys, we have 25 graduates playing in the game Monday night and they are all going to wear special patches to commemorate it. Is Georgia doing something similar?

I hope you're right. We need to land at least one of them.
