If they are claiming he's 6'1 he's probably closer to 5'11. I don't care, though. I'll take him. Looks like he's a very accurate passer. That's my #1 favorite quality in a QB.

Speaking of QBs, I hadn't paid much attention to Clemson's QB commit, the #1 ranked recruit on 247.

Holy mother of god does that kid look awesome. Tall as a tree, moves fast, great feet, accurate throws and a very quick release. I'm so jealous.

I like the way this class is shaping up. I'd hold off on the Georgia hype. my opinion, Georgia kids are usually like Texas kids, pampered and Charmin soft. Bama was taking five stars from South fla to NY and everywhere in between. Gimme some kids from Florida and Alabama that play with an attitude over pampered track stars from Texas and Georgia any day.

Jordan Davis is more of a Gump than any of us, and he doesn't do the flat bill shite either

He looks like one of those Ryan Anderson mean guys

It's easy to get caught up in the Justin Fields hype. Fields is a legit dual threat QB & is gonna be a beast & I think is the clear #2 player in the country but I honestly am not sure I have ever seen a QB as college ready coming out of high school than Lawrence. Makes all the throws, mobile enough to keep plays alive and is a winner. Gonna be hard to keep him off the field at Clemson

He's really fricking good...

FWIW, he does play for a significantly more talented team than Fields and against generally not as good competition... with that said, see previous statement... really fricking good.

Jordan Davis is my way too early pick in this class for the player who'll quickly and greatly exceed expectations. I sense that he's gonna become a serious force sooner rather than later.

I got to watch Lawrence in person last year and he's an incredible talent. He is going to be scary in that offensive system at Clemson.

Georgia kids are soft and pampered track stars, but Florida kids are not? This is very odd logic.

2017 draft had more kids from GA selected than any other state represented. Followed closely by Florida, California, and then Texas in that order.

GA high school talent has been on the rise and it's starting to show... 2016 NFL players on opening day rosters:

The desire to pump the brakes is natural, and I agree with it... let's go do something before people get too excited, but trashing the talent is simply inaccurate. That's not a knock against kids in Alabama either... just simply refuting a wildly inaccurate statement.

You didn't have to post all that for most of us to realize what he said was inaccurate (to be kind).....

- Ya never know... maybe he reads it and realizes it... unlikely, but I'll give it a shot.

We need to offer Purdy a scholarship and if he takes it, be done with Qb's this year. Hell, he can't be worse than some we've given scholarships to.

I'm fine with not giving a scholarship to a QB this year. Really want those elsewhere.

I think most feel the same way. I don't think Saban is in that group, though. I'm pretty sure he wants to take one.

How many more is UGA taking?

Other than Walker, anyone we are going head to head over?

Looks like we are going after some pretty elite DB and WR prospects, and are pretty much a lock for some DL players. Sewell would be a solid pick up for the OL as well. I don't see the numbers for a QB, and that is probably why he offered a preferred walk on.

Only if Saban can gain 100% assurance from our 3 QBs that none of them will transfer. It's risky enough to only have 3 scholly-caliber QBs on the roster. Only having two is waaaaaaay too risky.

Btw, has Mac Jones added any muscle weight? Kid was way to skinny and didn't appear to be beefing up in the early going after he arrived.

I know I'm in the minority but I really hope we get Foster. Nothing like the home state kid.
