Do we lead for Jaylen Waddle?

We did.

There's no telling now with Jimbo taking over at A&M. We're in for a fun ride over the next 6 weeks or so. We won't finish #1 in recruiting again, but hopefully we finish #1 on the field.

Profile: Christian Barmore
Position: Defensive Tackle
High School: Philadelphia Neumann Goretti
Height: 6-5
Weight: 290

Recruiting: Barmore made official visits to Alabama and Baylor, and he was going to trip to Georgia but instead committed to and sign with the Crimson Tide.

Scouting Report: Barmore was largely an unknown prospect outside of metropolitan Philadelphia heading into the fall. He was committed to Temple after he impressed them in a camp, but word began circulating about his raw ability and high level of talent as tape of his senior season got out.

I saw Barmore, the No. 17 defensive tackle in the industry-generated 247Sports Composite, play three times during his senior season, and I left each time more impressed than the time before.

He has great size, and his ability to fire off the ball and get into the backfield was remarkable. Barmore is strong, and he uses that to overpower interior linemen. He lined up at nose guard and 3-technique, and he was equally effective at both. He plays low, and his leg drive is very good. Although his football experience is limited, he developed several moves.

Not only can Barmore beat a defensive player with quickness and strength, he has a nice rip move and he also incorporates a swim technique into some of plays. He is big, but his body control is very good. He can change direction well for a player his size, and he is a good tackler. He possesses closing speed, and he can chase a play down from behind. His effort level is high.

Barmore is also quick with his hands. He is able to redirect the initial punch from the offensive lineman, and he also has the strength to disengage.

In a state playoff game, Barmore played defensive end and he showed his speed in consistently getting around the edge and pressuring the quarterback. He was quick enough to dive inside and impact the running game as well.

Final Analysis: Barmore is an elite talent who can be a star on Alabama's defensive line. Not many prospects possess his size and athleticism, and also his body control. He is best suited to play inside in college, but he can play defensive in certain packages. He needs to refine his technique and add a few moves, but he should be a standout player for the Crimson Tide. There are very few players in the country with his potential.

I'm really excited about this kid. I hope he gets his grades in order.

Suggestion Box item:

A Top Targets sub-heading in the OP just below Commitments and move the top 10-12 guys there that we're targeting who aren't already committed to us.

He can't recruit until 2019 and I doubt we would pay him more as an analyst than what he is making as a D-Line coach for UTSA.

I know Tim Watts said last week he thinks Davis will eventually make his way back to Tuscaloosa, but I don't think he was meaning this soon.

I still want to kick Bo's arse for lying.

I am sure they are on Fisher's list, and he has hired position coaches as a first time DC before. But in showing typical Aggie arrogance, they think they're taking both?

Like Tyler Friday, I left him off because I feel certain he's going elsewhere.

Ansley maybe if a promotion but I do not see tosh making a lateral move unless to the west coast. aTm is not an upgrade for him at all. Ansley only if promoted to DC.
