As mentioned it has a lot to do with politics but in regards to camps they want to see how you do against the other so called top talent.But then again that has no rhyme or reason. These sites and their so called talent experts if they were so good I would expect many of them to be on top staffs around the country. Hence why you see kids get huge bumps in the rankings when Saban, Meyer, or other top HCs in CFB give out offers. The Bama bump is more about they missed a kid and if the real evaluators offer they have to keep up.
Another issue with a few of the sites and their rating system is which all star game they support. ESPN supports Under Armor and many times players will be ranked higher in their polls if they are attending and even seen some drop because they choose to go to the Army game instead which the same will happen there. 247 at least has no dog in the fight.

Baseball. That’s it really. He’s actually ranked higher in baseball than football. He chose to skip all of the 24/7, Nike, Rivals, ESPN camps this past Spring. He was playing baseball for the #1 ranked team in America, at one point. They lost in the state championship, so no ring. Finished the year 38-3. He was the 4 hole hitter. Played for Team Marucci Black the year before, their premiere team. He caught every game and hit 4 Hole for them as well.
Anyway, since he didn’t go to camps since WM played every Saturday from February to May, the sites knocked him down. Add in he’s going to Bama instead of LSU, and he’s seen his rankings drop instate as well. It is what it is.

I know this is off topic, but would have to do with future recruiting. Paul Finbaum was saying lookout for Gene chizik to join staff. What you all think ?

Hmm that would be interesting. People know that coordinator job at Bama is golden. Next stop is a head coaching gig for a top program.

I only post over there a few times a year now. They ran off most of the good posters after Jones was hired. I lurk for info on recruits we share an interest in and until Pruitt became their HC there has not been many over the last few years.
But yeah I avoid some threads and definitely avoid getting into debates with them.

I wouldn't hate it depending on the capacity. I don't think he has any shot at DC, as some are crediting Finebaum with saying. His defensive upbringing is within the Tampa 2 43 defense, something that is on the other end of the defensive spectrum.
Chizik is a good coach, I just don't think he's a good HC. ILB Coach would be a good spot, and give a veteran hand to a guy like Tosh if he were to be promoted...

Maybe recruits just are not big fans of coach Dunbar? I never hear anyone say he’s my dog, my favorite coach nothing ever!! You don’t even hear Alabama players say anything of him , nothing!! Idk. You have guys that now want to go see Tenn. just because Pruitt. He’s liked , Tosh, Ansley, but never Dunbar.might need a new coach . Even when Coach Davis was let go . Players and recruits loved him.

Im honestly satisfied with our DE/LB's. We have recruited very well in that area, however DT scares me
