Scrubbard is without question one of the top 3 players I have hated in all time. Couldn't stand that guy on or off the field.

That would not be dynamite.

I love JJ Peterson reminds me of C J Mosley, but if we lose him Kaho- is another athletic LB that we really don’t have room for , so next man up !!! Come on down

Sean,

Unasked for advice, forget stars, Saban does his own evaluations and often they differ. In this case we want JJ obviously, but look at the 5* CB from California, Stuart, he obviously wants Bama, but be is a backup plan to Saban according to multiple mods and even appearances.

NOT trying to be arse, but stars are really irrelevant to who Bama wants many times.

This maybe true, Nick Saban dosent use the star system and that stuff is wrong alot of times however ill take ten 5 stars over fifteen four stars anyday. But generally speaking it works. I do know JJ Peterson is viewed as elite and the number 1 ILB.

Eddie Jackson is another example. Although our staff would've loved to have added Vonn Bell, if memory serves me correctly when Eddie committed a week before NSD our staff didn't put the full court press on Bell.

I know there are examples of 3 star guys that are underrated. However there are hundreds of 3 stars and about 25-30 5 stars per year. So of course there are some guys underrated who will shine. But theres a reason why the top teams are filled with 4's and 5's.

My memory sucks, but I think we backed off Bell a little because the Mississippi safety (Connor?) told the coaching staff he was coming (only to end up at Ole Miss). Made that end zone interception in the playoffs by Bell sting a little more.

Yeah, Bama told Vonn Bell to hold off from committing until they found out what Toney Conner was going to do.

Bell got pissed and committed to Ohio St. Conner was telling the Bama staff he was coming up until he signed with Ole Miss.

Then Bell went on to intercept one or two passes in the 15 Sugar Bowl.

According to Vols247 Mike Locksley is one of two candidates for UT OC.

That would suck, hope it doesn't cost us Anoma.

Just found this:

One of Pruitt's most important hires also appears done. Sources tell Volquest that Southern Cal's Tyson Helton is expected to take the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach role. Helton served as the passing game coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Southern Cal in 2016
