Seth Williams doesn't have a high ceiling. That's actually part of the deal with him . He's a better WR than a lot of guys right now (high floor), but he's thought to have a fairly low ceiling.

Curious about this take. Have never heard anyone say Williams has a low ceiling. If anything he seems like a guy with a ton of potential given his sloppy route running & over reliance on being the best athlete on the field right now. Interested in why you think he has a low ceiling

FWIW Ross is definitely the best player in the state. He's fast enough to be a problem at his size & has really good hands

Some “insider” on BOL said Hurts approached the coaching staff before the last game and told them he was open to a position change.

Which is probably the most ridiculous thing I’ve heard an insider say.

But I’d be lying if I said I didn’t wish that it was true.

I find that very hard to believe. Who was the insider?

I left BOL about 3 years ago so I might be wrong but isn't he a big troll on the Blue Board?

He followed up by saying he thinks Jalen meant making a switch during the off-season, which is realistic if he really wants to play in the NFL one day.

I'm sure it's bullshite tho

It isn't necessarily my opinion. I don't know enough about him to say one way or another. But it's the opinion of every person with contacts to high school and college coaches that I know.

One of them said two weeks ago: "Williams' ceiling is Cam Sims. Ross' ceiling isn't far from Julio".

Again, not me. But it seems to be what most that have observed a lot of him and do a lot of evaluating think.

Interesting. Thanks for the response

I could see that

I don't see that no matter where he goes to college. That's not a knock on the kid, but Julio was .9992 coming out of HS, the #3 overall prospect, the top WR, and just a physical freak who has gone on to have arguably the best start to an NFL career of any WR ever - including Rice (minus the Super Bowls, obviously).

I'd say Ross' ceiling is more Dez Bryant.

Josh Jobe told SEC Country that Pruitt is definitely not leaving.

So naturally he'll be named the head coach of Mississippi State very shortly.

Every tall WR from Alabama since Julio has been compared to him, nature of the beast.

Kendall Kelly, Marvin Shinn, Nico Collins, etc...

Hmmm...I thought Jarvis Landry and OBJ set the records for the best 3 year start ever for a WR? I’m not taking anything away from Julio. He’s an absolute stud. Just asking statistically.

ETA: Julio had 174 receptions his first 3 years. OBJ and Juice tied for the most all time with 288 receptions.

First 90 games is a legit definition of the beginning of career, and Julio has the record for most receptions and most yards.

He is also the only player to have more than 1 250+ yard game.

He has 3...

Julio Jones is as good as it gets, you never hear him complain, he does all he can to get on the field injured or no, blocks like a TE and is a fantastic receiver .

Hey guys. Just read that Auburn got another commitment. Feeling a little down right now.

Any good news to lighten it up some?

Are we expecting any commitments anytime soon?

Hank said Mullen has yet to reach out to Corral. They look to be making another run at Fields.

Fields in Mullen’s offense would be downright nasty.
