You can win an Nc with Floridian scraps. Nobody wanted Derrick Thomas, Javier Arenas, Eddie Jackson, or Elvis Dumerville. Just remember that.
For sure.
And I wouldn't even call those guys you're going after "scraps" these guys definitely are top players. In any other year these DBs would probably be at the top of the class. But the 2018 DB class might literally be the most loaded its ever been in Florida, and I'm not exaggerating at all. Like Straight up Miami is going to pull in possibly our best db class ever with 6 to 7 studs, and I can still name at least 15 more DBs that have the ability to play at a top P5 blueblood schools. Its crazy this year.

so let me get this straight, you think Miami is getting jobe, Campbell, and surtain at cb?
I think we are going to get Campbell. He already has decided which school he will be picking, he just hasn't told anyone yet, including his own family. Dude is keeping that shite under wraps for sure.
For Surtain, LSU is obviously the most likely to land him. They gotta have at least a 60% chance minimum. But kid and his father have always loved LSU so he'd be a tough pull. They could obviously lock him in if they give his dad the 10th coaching job. I don't expect him at all, but we are definitely in the running, especially since we will be getting four of his best friends (Nesta Silvera, Tyson Campbell, and Andrew Chatfield)

Miami must be signing 50 kids this class. Don't take this the wrong way, but I believe you are full of shite.

You gotta think that Richt has one "lost control" moment left in the tank. Will it be against Virginia or Pitt?

Late-Rising Barmore An Early Or Late Signee?
Can Christian Barmore, the coveted late-rising defensive tackle from Philadelphia Neumann Goretti, shoe-horn in a few official visits before the early signing day and end his recruitment Dec. 20?
"There is a chance," Saints coach Alby Crosby said.
However, the safe play is Barmore waits until the February signing period because his schedule may keep him from making official visits until Dec. 16, but Alabama, LSU, Georgia, Maryland and Florida all remain on his list.
It is clear Barmore likes the SEC, and it is a safe bet he will land there unless another school moves in very late in the process and make a big impact, but his concentration is on his top five.
Alabama is in great shape with Barmore, and it comes after defensive line coach Karl Dunbar made a recent visit to Neumann Goretti to check in.
"It went great," Crosby said. "They really want him. They said he is someone they have to get."
Barmore committed to Temple in the spring, but that was with Temple only seeing him in a camp setting. After a few games of his senior season, his recruitment exploded and the SEC came calling.
However, making visits during the season is extremely difficult because Neumann Goretti plays on Saturdays. And with the playoffs now underway, and Neumann Goretti set to make a long run, making visits during the season is tough.
In talking to folks in Philadelphia, Barmore's interest in LSU is also extremely high. The way the Tigers play defense, and how it plays on the defensive line, stand out to him.
Georgia remains an option and a school of intrigue because of his relationship with freshmen D'Andre Swift and Mark Webb, both of whom were successful and well known on the Philadelphia prep scene.
Then, there is Florida. For Barmore, the key will be the head coaching hire, whether he becomes a priority and whether he is excited by the hire.

Alabama currently has the nation’s No. 21 recruiting class and the eighth best in the SEC, according to the 247Sports composite. The Crimson Tide only have 11 commitments, so for them to be ranked that highly shows how elite this class already is.
Coach Nick Saban said the team can only sign 22 Class of 2018 recruits because of the delayed enrollment in the 2017 class of center Hunter Brannon, kicker Joseph Bulovas and Jack linebacker Jarez Parks. Brannon and Bulovas were blueshirted and Parks was greyshirted.
How will Alabama fill out the rest of its 2018 class on offense? Here are SEC Country’s latest projections:

QB: Emory Jones
Analysis: It seems like it’s just a matter of time before Emory Jones flips from Ohio State to Alabama. The Buckeyes already have started to offer other quarterbacks. That tells me that the team is not very confident that Jones sticks with OSU. Jones has been a frequent visitor to Tuscaloosa this year.
Confidence level: 55 percent
Am I the only one who prefers the talent of uber thug Matt Corral?
He's got a huge arm and comes from a pass first offense. He may be a piece of shite right now, but perhaps a strong, structured environment would do him good.

RB: Jerome Ford
Analysis: Jerome Ford recently told SEC Country that Alabama and South Florida lead for him. He visited Tuscaloosa for the LSU game and absolutely loved his time. It’s hard to imagine him choosing the Bulls over the Crimson Tide, knowing Ford is the team’s top uncommitted running back target.
Confidence level: 70 percent
I'm not a fan of taking Ford to be honest. He's small and doesn't fit what we do on offense.

WR: Jacob Copeland, Jaylen Waddle, Xavier Williams*
Analysis: Jacob Copeland makes his debut in our mock signing class. Copeland, a 4-star prospect from Escambia High School (Pensacola, Fla.), is committed to Florida. The Gators have fired Jim McElwain and likely won’t retain wide receivers coach Kerry Dixon. Those are the two guys Copeland was closest to at Florida. He’s expected to visit Tuscaloosa once again this weekend for the team’s game against Mercer, if that tells you anything.
Jaylen Waddle is Alabama’s top slot receiver target. Waddle, from Bellaire, Texas, has visited Tuscaloosa four times this year. He took an official visit to Alabama for the LSU game. At this point, it would be surprising if he didn’t commit to Alabama.
Xavier Williams is committed to Alabama and hasn’t made any intentions of changing his commitment. He’s actively recruiting for the Crimson Tide.
Confidence level: 85 percent
I could dig it.

TE: Dominick Wood-Anderson
Analysis: Dominick Wood-Anderson was once silently committed to Alabama before publicly committing to Texas. He has since backed off his commitment to the Longhorns. One of the big reasons why he chose to back off his Texas commitment was because of the Tide’s pursuit of him. This time around, I expect Wood-Anderson to publicly choose the Tide.
Confidence level: 75 percent
No Luke Ford.

OL: Tommy Brown*, Emil Ekiyor, Penei Sewell
Analysis: Tommy Brown’s father, Vince, graduated from Alabama in the early 1980s. Once Tommy received his offer from his father’s alma mater, it was only a matter of time before he committed, which he did July 21. He won’t be flipping.
Emil Ekiyor committed to Alabama last month. He will sign his letter of intent in December before enrolling at Alabama in the summer because his school doesn’t allow early graduates.
While Penei Sewell won’t say it publicly, this is truly an Alabama-Oregon race. Sewell’s father has said his son is looking for the school that will give him the best chance of making it to the NFL. The Crimson Tide have sent far more offensive linemen to the league than the Ducks.
Confidence level: 65 percent
I'd much rather take a 4th offensive lineman, say Petit-Frere, than a RB in this class.
