I wouldn't say he is putting up big time numbers.

According to TIM Watts, the 2 schools Cade Mays would be interested in when he officially decommits would be Bama and Notre Dame. Mays is an early enrollee so he is uncomfortable with whats going on aroung Tennessee right now.

I would also have to assume that Alabama HS football is a bit heavier than it is in Hawaii

It's been said Taulia is further along as a passer at his age than Tua was. He even outpassed Tua in 2016 because they played at different schools.

As it was mentioned though, Taulia is Doug Flutie when it comes to height at the position. Tua was considered undersized, and Taulia is shorter than him.

His talent is undeniable though, I'm sure once he hits the camp circuit next year he might get some more love...

Definitely. Little Tua is playing against some tough competition.

I'm hoping Taulia is a late bloomer

The 2017 college football season rolls on as the calendar flips to October and a pecking order begins to take shape: Alabama, Clemson and Oklahoma have established their dominance with statement wins, while the teams behind them in the Associated Press Top 25 poll have, with the exception of Ohio State, posted spotless win-loss records and signature moments (don't worry, Buckeyes: You can win out and probably still make the CFB Playoff).

Of course, on-field performance isn't all coaches and fans care about. Each weeks brings us closer to the first early signing day for college football recruits (Dec. 20-22), which accelerates just about everybody's timeline. With that in mind, we've asked the 247Sports experts covering AP Top 10 programs to give us their team's biggest recruiting storyline.

No. 1 ALABAMA

247Sports Composite Team Recruiting Ranking: 22

“The current lack of a quarterback in the class. Several names have been connected to Alabama throughout the spring and summer. Guys like Utah commit Jack Tuttle, Kentucky commit Jarren Williams, the uncommitted Tanner McKee, Ohio State commit Emory Jones, and even the nation’s No. 1 player, Justin Fields. Ultimately, Alabama faces somewhat of an uphill battle recruiting elite signal callers in this class. Sophomore quarterback Jalen Hurts has a stranglehold on the position and freshman five-star Tua Tagovailoa has flashed in relief duty. Former four-star Mac Jones is currently third string. The Tide hosted several for the Ole Miss game, including Fields; the hope is that the 66-3 shellacking did nothing but help Alabama’s fortunes.” — Hank South, BamaOnLine

Just read a article from the spring about Kendell Jones "hulk " saying that Saban still wants him if he can drop weight and keep the grades up. Are we still interested or has that ship sailed?

RE: Kendell Jones

We do need DT's. Obviously the kid has to handle his biz, but if he can get back in shape then I think we may give him a shot.

However, based on the last pic I saw of him though, he would need to be running P90x, Insanity, and the Asylum at the same time to get that weight right, LoL.

That's called wishful thinking.

He had to have something in his home life go horribly wrong. How does a 19 year old kid go from this:

Then you would be wrong.

As a junior, Tagovailoa leads all Alabama HS quarterbacks in yards, ypg, touchdowns, completions, and completion percentage. All this despite playing one less game than roughly half the rated quarterbacks.

ETA - He has the highest QBR, as well.

My Ohio State buddy just texted me saying Urban has started reaching out to Jarren Williams. I wonder if this is because Emory Jones has continued to show interest in us?
