It is. Not sure if it's anything major or not (might be a Collin Sexton/agent thing.. Not certain yet) , but a ton of schools are part of it, it sounds like.

You probably missed it, but someone asked you earlier today if Rodney or Redfish has said anything about Coynis Miller.

Any updates from their end?

Ah yeah. I saw it but couldn't respond. Thanks for reminding me. Everything I've heard from my end has been negative on Coynis, unfortunately. I'm not sure how up-to-date their info is or if his recent visits have changed anything, though. Sounds like his HS coach is a massive hurdle here.

A guy on the Auburn board, not Tigerpaw1, says Alabama is trending.

He didn't give details though.

Fwiw that guy isn't an insider or anything. My guess is he's saying that due to Miller's visits. Doesn't sound like anyone has a great read on him

Next weekend will be the test. If he shows up at AU then I think we get him, if not I don't see AU getting a guy that showed up for one game this fall

Would be nice. None of the guys that I follow have shown any optimism yet, though. Still very optimistic on Bobby Brown, though. He'd be a huge piece of the puzzle.

Well the kid in question says Florida is his leader and he's only been to Gainesville one time in his entire life.

Good point

Got nothing on Zakoby McClain though who was planning on committing to LSU after having never visited there. They said no thanks

It's back up now. I guess the merger last night took a little longer than expected.

The U.S. Army All-American Bowl will be the last football game Corona (Calif.) Centennial Top247 quarterback Tanner McKee plays before embarking on a two-year mission trip.

He plans to savior the moments in San Antonio, Texas as he competes inside the Alamo Dome among the best high school prospects in the country on Jan. 6.

"I’m just trying to get as much work as I can right now because I know my football is very limited in the next couple years," McKee said.

The Army Bowl Selection tour was by McKee's school on Wednesday to award him his West team jersey.

"The Army Bowl is obviously an amazing event," McKee said. "I’m really excited to be part of it."

247Sports ranks the 6-foot-6, 220-pound McKee as the nation's No. 2 pro-style passer and No. 29 prospect overall. He has not made a college decision, still considering scholarships from Alabama, BYU, Stanford, Texas, Washington and UCLA. McKee adds he talks to all those programs equally.

The history and tradition of the U.S. Army All-American Bowl is unparalleled, highlighted by Heisman Trophy winners and more than 400 NFL players counted among its alumni. Throughout its 18 years, the game has featured the nation’s most elite football players before they reach stardom. Just some of these alumni include: Odell Beckham Jr., Andrew Luck, Adrian Peterson, Tim Tebow, Christian McCaffrey, Eric Berry, Patrick Peterson, Sam Darnold, and hundreds more.

NBC will have the national broadcast and over 40,000 fans are expected, many of them servicemen and servicewomen.

"I’m super excited just to meet all the guys there and to be in front of all the soldiers and hopefully hear them speak and talk to them about their experiences, it's really a blessing." McKee explained. His great grandparents and grandfather served.

This weekend McKee plans to take an unofficial to check out UCLA. Texas will get an official the first weekend of October with Alabama and Stanford getting officials in November. BYU's official is locked in for the first weekend in February.

As a junior McKee completed 72 percent of his passes for 3,552 yards and 36 touchdowns to just eight interceptions. He added another 539 yards rushing and 15 scores.

On Oct. 14, four-star defensive tackle Coynis Miller will make his college decision between Alabama, Auburn, and Florida.

One of the top defensive lineman in the country, the Birmingham (Ala.) Jackson-Olin product is rated the No. 15 defensive tackle and the No. 162 overall player in the 2017 class, according to the 247Sports Composite.

Jackson-Olin head coach Tim Vakakes joined the SEC Recruiting Buzz podcast with Keith and Kipp to discuss what Miller’s future school is getting in the 6-foot-1.5, 290-pounder.

“Coynis absolutely has elite, first-day NFL Draft potential, and God-given ability,” Vakakes said. “His hips are extremely explosive. Anytime you’re 290-something pounds and you can dunk with ease, you power clean 355 pounds in high school, you have explosiveness. Coynis is a very, very talented kid. Wherever he decides to go, they’re going to get a really good, humble kid, who’s got a whole load of potential.”

Miller has said publicly that Florida leads, followed by Auburn at two, rounded out by Alabama at three.

“I’ve told people from the beginning, Coynis might be one of these kids that wants to do their own thing,” Vakakes said. “He’s got family who are Auburn, he’s got family who are Alabama, (he’s got a) teammate at Auburn. He might want to do his own thing. I could see Coynis going away. I think he sees Florida as kind of his getaway. It’s a big-time program in the SEC, he’s got good relationship with both of their coaches. If at the end of the day that’s what he wants to do, I think a lot of it had to do with him wanting to do his own thing.”

Tide offensive line coach Brent Key took over Miller’s recruitment after former UA assistant and Birmingham recruiter Mario Cristobal left for Oregon.

“I kidded Coach Key when I first met him,” Vakakes said. “I said, ‘You’ve got some shoes to fill because Mario Cristobal, that was my guy. I loved him to death. I was kidding him first time I met him. Coach Key is a great guy, and he is doing a wonderful job recruiting Coynis and getting to know him. Coach Key is a good person. They’ve definitely made him a priority. Coach (Karl) Dunbar came to see him at our game last week. They’re not shying away.”

So, with just over two weeks to go, where does Vakakes think Miller commits to on Oct. 14?

“Any school he picks out of these three, I would not be shocked,” Vakakes said. “He loves Auburn. I know his momma loves Auburn. He’s been a childhood fan of Alabama with his dad. He’s close with Quinnen Williams and Da’Ron Payne. He likes Coach Key. If he wanted to do his own thing, he’s going to Florida. He’s saying Florida is his leader, if that’s what he’s telling you that’s what he’s telling me.”

Tampa (Fla.) Berkeley Prep didn't get the win last week in a makeup game against Lakeland Christian, falling 48-40. However it was a strong night on the gridiron from five-star offensive tackle Nicholas Petit-Frere, who more than held his own upfront.

Watch as the 6-foot-6, 272-pounder delivers punishing blocks that took defenders to the ground for most of the night.

The Sunshine state tackle has yet to name any formal leaders in his recruitment, and is taking a very slow approach to the process. He has yet to take any visits this season, and likely will wait until the conclusion of his senior campaign to take his five official visits. The schools that have been linked to Petit-Frere have been Alabama, Duke, Florida, Notre Dame, Ohio State, and a few others.

This recruitment truly seems wide open and most college coaches are not even sure where Petit-Frere is leaning.

247Sports currently ranks Petit-Frere as the No. 10 overall prospect in the 2018 recruiting class and the No. 1 offensive tackle in the 2018 class.

ETA: Holy hell at the first play.

ETAA: We need this kid. He's an absolute terror on the field.
