If It makes yall like me more, I'm rooting for yall vs FSU.
And I officially think X is sticking with yall, as a DB. Think we're all on board with Terrance Marshall or Kevin Austin or just 3 WRs.
...but still Don't think yall get jobe lol.

I should add that there's a magnet elementary in MGM, too, that is excellent.
If they don't get accepted there, though, the pickings are slim among Montgomery County schools.

I grew up in Prattville. Schools were not great when I was there but the improved then a bunch since then. I wouldn't live anywhere in Montgomery except maybe off Taylor road/eastchase area. If you are going to be at Gunter not Maxwell then maybe wetumpka would make more sense. You can get a lot of house in wetumpka for not much money, and it's quite pretty there on the coosa river, neat old downtown. I mean, it's all central Alabama so it's hellishly hot, muggy, buggy, swampy, etc.. It would be hard to live there again after the glories of the Pacific northwest. Ive got a trip to visit the folks next month (my parents and my wife's mom all still love in pville) and am dreading the weather

Is this the cookout weekend?
Posted on 7/16/17 at 1:45 pm to Cobrasize
I'm hearing that they've changed it from a formal cookout to a gizzard boil. Is that what you guys are hearing?
Posted on 7/16/17 at 1:49 pm to Bama3714
NCAA will outlaw boiling gizzards if that's the case. We won't miss a recruit with them Gizzards

Montgomery is an okay place. The night life is mediocre. Some cool places. 1048/Old Cloverdale is cool. Alley bar is alright, a little pricey. Theres a real good old jazz/blues club where the ancient skeletons play all the time which is pretty awesome.
Cost of living is pretty low but theres not a whole lot of great culinary or outdoors culture.
Not a lot of young people if you're into meeting people, partying, that kind of thing. Not much of a music scene either.
It is not nearly as bad as a lot of people make it out to be though. I've spent a good deal of time in the hood and Montgomery's really aren't bad, and you basically never have to go over there. Just to throw some shade at people's perspectives, Chisholm is not the hood.
Montgomery is defined by white flight, and they've been consistently moving east. East Montgomery is the keeping-up-with the Jones' area. Eastchase would be where to look if that's what you're into.
Prattville is also okay. Basically nothing to do. No decent bars, food is limited to chain places. It's a quiet little place but I would never raise a family there.
I have no data to back it up but I am fairly confident that there are much higher rates of lung problems amongst the elderly of Prattville due to the paper mill. It also smells like sulfur shits regularly. You get used to it when you live there but when you leave and come back it can be ducking awful.
If I had to spend the rest of my life in the Montgomery/Autauga area, it wouldn't be the worse thing ever. Wouldn't be the greatest either.

A sleeper quarterback candidate to join Alabama or Auburn's class plays for one of the most recognized names in Alabama high school football history.
Steven Krajewski is a 6-foot-4, 205-pound three-star recruit from Colquitt County High School in Moultrie, Ga., and he's now the starting quarterback for Rush Propst, who won multiple state championships at Hoover High School last decade.
Krajewski will throw for Alabama and Auburn on Saturday. His top offers now include Connecticut, Syracuse and Georgia State, but there's potential for more.
"He's climbing the ladder fast," Propst said while Colquitt County was in Hoover for the USA Football 7on7 championships. "I think he's one of the top three quarterbacks in the state of Georgia."
Given what that state has in terms of star quarterback, it's an enormous compliment. Propst believes that five-star recruits Justin Fields and Trevor Lawrence - perhaps the nation's top two prospects nationally - are No. 1 and 2 in some order. Then there's Krajewski.
But he's entering his first year as a starter, so he wasn't on many schools' radar until this spring. Krajewski moved to Georgia before last season from Michigan after his father George retired and wanted to live in warmer weather. He didn't start last season as the Packers had an established senior starter.
Now, it's his time to shine. Alabama offensive coordinator Brian Daboll and Auburn offensive coordinator Chip Lindsey have been in contact and both want to see him perform on their campus.
"They wouldn't have invited him to camp to throw if they didn't like him," Propst said. "They need to see him live and in color and that's what we're going to go."
Krajewski performed in front of Georgia coaches at a recent 7on7 tournament there, one which Colquitt County win and Propst praised his quarterback's performance. The Bulldogs, like Auburn, are all in for Fields and likely waiting to see what he does before going after another quarterback.
The plan is for Krajewski to visit Tallahassee, Fla., and throw for Florida State on Thursday, and then travel to Tuscaloosa on Friday. He'll throw for Alabama coaches on Saturday morning before making the trip to Auburn that afternoon to throw for Auburn coaches. Following that, he'll visit Syracuse and UConn early the next week.
Propst said Krajewski has gotten better with each camp performance.
"It's an incredible opportunity to go throw for such great schools," Krajewski said. "I'm very excited. I can't wait. I'm just truly blessed to have that opportunity.
"The coaches have talked to me. I've got to go in with the mindset that I'm the best one there."
Krajewski said that he's heard more from Auburn at this point than Alabama. The Tigers have a quarterback commitment in Joey Gatewood from Jacksonville, Fla., but would like to sign two. Alabama does not have a quarterback committed yet for this class.
It's clear that Fields is the top option, not just for those two schools but others such as Georgia. Fields visited Auburn on Thursday and Alabama expects him to visit again later this week for its Champions Cookout.
"I'm looking forward to throwing for them to show them what I can do," Krajewski said.
Last season, Krajewski hit 20 of 28 passes for 292 yards and five touchdowns. He also runs a 4.8 in the 40-yard dash, Propst said.
Propst said earlier this spring that Krajewski needed to work on his touch, moving around the pocket more and finding his check down.
So far, he keeps getting better. Now, it's on to Krajewski to earn that Power 5 conference offer he desires.
"I think he's a Division I quarterback," Propst said. "I think he's a Power 5 guy. I've been doing this a long time. He's big. He's strong. He loves the game of football. I've seen a lot of them play in that league that's not as good as he is.
"After those two quarterbacks (Fields and Lawrence), I've had a lot of people tell me that Steven is probably the next guy."
