You should take a trip down to that reservoir around Jackson, MS. It's called the Ross something or other.

I hear it's nice and sunny.

Blue-Chip 2018 CB Stanley Garner Lived up to the Hype at Saturday's Florida International Camp
Corey Bender

MIAMI, Fla. -- Cornerback Stanley Garner was of the premier prospects who laced up the cleats for last Saturday's FIU camp, and Scout was in attendance to capture the action on camera.

Stanley Garner recently made a splash by accumulating offers from Alabama, Florida, Oregon and Florida State among others, and backed up his highly-regarded status when camping at Florida International on Saturday.

Garner, a product of Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) Dillard who is labeled as Scout's 50th-ranked cornerback, is a lengthy kid who is also fleet-footed for a cornerback of his stature. He shows good discipline and concentration when mirroring his opponent off the line, and shows no problem flipping his hips and keeping up with smaller receivers.

The 6-foot-1.5, 165-pound Garner, who is visiting Kentucky on June 16, also impresses with his ability to swing his around head to make a play on the football. He utilizes that intriguing length by high-pointing the ball, and is just a bouncy athlete who is really fluid for a longer cornerback.

I watched the highlights in the link. Kid looks really good. A little bit skinny, but nothing Cochran couldn't fix.

I think it's about 80 miles from there.

They used to have one of those chain restaurants called Copeland's, but it closed a while back. Damn shame.

The New England Patriots went to lengths to make sure none of the players or coaches got an early look at their championship rings for winning Super Bowl LI. Each ring was locked in a box, awaiting team owner Robert Kraft to reveal the combination.

When he did, Kraft referred to New England linebacker Dont'a Hightower by a new nickname on Saturday night. Kraft called the former Alabama All-American "the Stripper."

What are you hearing on your end regarding Micah Parsons?

Superstar talent who may have some off the field issues. Some of the OSU mods think it's the friend group he hangs out with and if he gets rid of them all will be fine. Think a lot of teams are digging into him a bit more than other guys based on that.

OSU is the CB favorite, but I don't know if he ends up in the class. OSU has commits from Cox and Chattfield at DE, and they won't say no to in-state Smith, and they appear enamored with Jayson Oweh (at least Larry Johnson does)and he seems to really be a good kid off the field with unlimited potential. If OSU takes those 4 and Vincent inside (people think Smith ends up inside in 2-3 years) is there room for a 6th DL this cycle for OSU? They are losing Holmes, Hubbard, Lewis, Hill Sprinkle and potentially another early entrant so maybe there is. They also like the American Heritage 1 tech kid Silvera and he fills a different need than Parsons would

I think it's much more open than people think and Bama has a good shot, along with FSU (I think they are in it)

Following up here is a link to one such Mod, who was the first OSU recruiting guy I ever followed:

LINK

He uses quotes like:

quote:

Talent is unquestionable, but you just can't say for sure if OSU will sell its soul for him when people like Oweh and Tyreke Smith are out there.

and

quote:

Everyone with any sense is trying to sniff it out and see if it worth the chase.

So he isn't sold. Other OSU mods are more comfortable saying he will be in the class

Thanks for the info. I just don't get these kids who have all the talent in the world and are willing to piss it all away to hang out with degenerates.

I'm willing to bet his father is either out of the picture completely or hardly around.

Probably right here. Although, I will say, there is becoming more and more of a Lavar Ball component in parents out there. My youngest son is a pretty solid baseball player and a kid in our area has a dad who is always pushing/promoting his kids to various travel teams in hopes to build his rep. The dad has even referred to himself in posted videos of his kid as #baseballsLavarBall
