When has LSU not been stacked at WR the last few years?
Posted on 2/5/18 at 3:33 pm to TidalSurge1
I've been busy today, how many 5 star commitments have we gotten?
Posted on 2/5/18 at 3:34 pm to Huddie Leadbetter
I imagine they just understand it's the game. As long as their families aren't personally involved, no hard feelings.

Aside from that article posted earlier, there appears to be some chatter about JJ Peterson flipping to the Tide. I haven't seen anyone on TI mention this. It is interesting though.
Isn't he a grade risk?

Nation’s No. 1 CB Patrick Surtain Jr. talks Alabama, LSU ahead of Signing Day decision
Did he give a similar interview to a writer covering LSU or Miami? Why give the interview to the Bama guy? Maybe he was just hustling.
Either way, this needs to be posted on the SECRecruiting board. Who has that task covered?

Both Alabama and LSU offer lots of similar things to Surtain, but he said the one thing that the Tide have over the Tigers is, “Obviously, one program wins more. That’s probably the biggest [thing].”
Buuuuurn.
I mean nobody can dispute this. Look you guys have enough talent let us have this one we won't beat y'all but he could help us beat auburn and those type teams and make yalls road easier. It's a win win for both programs. Lol

There is no "letting" to it. Y'all likely have a better chance at getting him than we do. If every LSU fan handled it like you, it wouldn't hurt as much to lose a guy like him. But we need elite CBs AND you got certain guys on your side who act like there is no possible way that Surtain could possibly commit to Bama that landing him on Wednesday would be a double win.
That said, still probably more likely that you guys get him.

Learning Jadeveon Clowney has a cousin named Demon Clowney is probably my favorite thing I've learned today. He's a 2020 recruit up in Locks' neck of the woods of Maryland.
I don't care that it's pronounced Damon either, don't @ me...

That's what most are saying. It could be one of those last minute things. Who knows. He really likes Pruitt. He committed to Tennessee without ever visiting bc of his relationship with Pruitt.

Yes. Some say a pretty risk.

nahh. I am not going to stop commenting, just because somebody is too sensitive, on something that is actually pertinent and an interesting observation like that Bear posted.
Most of the recruiting stuff is just mental masturbation and conjecture. I stopped worrying about all that when Saban was hired, but that which Bear mentioned is an actually valid thing that can impact recruiting but, moreover, is more important to our team's ultimate success than whatever other quarterback signs up on Wednesday, if there is one.
Let me make this easy. Don't post on here (the Recruiting thread - this one or future mega threads) about Jalen or Tua or the QB situation in general. Everyone knows your thoughts, so we're all set. Thanks.

National Signing Day: Five who could flip
quote:
The first Early Signing Period in college football saw many top prospects ink their National Letters of Intent in December, but there are still many future standouts that will sign on Feb. 7. There will be some surprises, like always, and you can expect a handful of prospects to flip Wednesday as well. We take a look at five who are committed to one school, but could flip and sign with another on Wednesday.

Quay Walker
Committed to: Alabama
Keep an eye on: Auburn, Georgia and Tennessee
The latest: Is Alabama even in this race anymore or not? Walker has been committed since June, but the night of Nick Saban’s in-home visit, Alabama offered another linebacker. That led some to believe that Walker told Saban he was not going to be part of this class. Walker has not removed his name from the Crimson Tide’s commitment list, so Alabama is still a possibility, but so is Auburn, Georgia and Tennessee. Depending on who you talk to, some think it is down to Alabama and Tennessee, others say Auburn and Tennessee, then you have Georgia and Tennessee and then you even hear Alabama, Georgia or Tennessee. Do you see the common name there? Tennessee. Since Jeremy Pruitt took that head coaching job and hired the staff that had connections to Walker, the Vols have been in a good spot. They have been the school trending the most behind the scenes, but this race could still end many different ways.

I think Probst is likely blowing smoke to create NSD publicity for Pruitt/UT beating UA for JJ Peterson, though the flip happened weeks ago.
I don't really think that's what's happening with Peterson, but I'm 75% sure that's what's happening with Quay Walker.
Pruitt's playing the hype game. He's actually a pretty sharp guy, despite being redneck as hell. Maybe he'll be successful enough that we want to bring him back one day.

I'm different than most lsu fans. My thing is this if we aren't getting a player I want them to chose bama. Bama is gonna get the best of the best regardless so I rather see them there as opposed to auburn Texas am etc and make their teams much better. I've enjoyed being on this forum I'm gonna have to take a break soon tho you guys seem pretty cool can't risk having my fan card taken lol
