Confuses me how ITS has “off the field” issues that we won’t sign him but UT, USC, TEX AM can overlook them?? Kinda salty bout this bc we NEED Dbs and sounds like he wanted to come here possibly or is it just sour grapes on our part?

I don't want to get my hopes up, or anyone's for that matter, but reading between the lines on BOL leads me to believe we may end up landing Surtain, Campbell and Smith.
Tim Watts said Eddie Smith was definitely ahead of ITS on the DB board too.

Hopefully that's the case. I'd hate it if we missed out on ITS, only to have PS2 and Campbell go elsewhere, and our staff is left with only Eddie Smith.

it crossed my mind a bit ago, that a couple 2- years back cns was on espn, i think, talking about a newly signed class. he made a statement that since his time at bama, he has not had any player flip away from bama that was committed to bama, on nsd. yes he had players de-commit prior to nsd and go elsewhere, but none actually flip on nsd. so, this quay walker situation got me to thinking. either he is setting bama/cns up to deliver this type of blow, or, hes trying to one up najee harris. just speculations of a guy that knows nothing.

Just circled back to this while checking to see if anyone posted some articles that were published last night.
Yes he wants traffic, but the way things were handled here when a group of our guys broke away and started their own thing left a lasting impression on him, among others.
He doesn't want to deal with the headache it will cause. I believe someone hinted at the name of the site on the Georgia board though.

Yep. Savion Smith, Jalyn Armour-Davis and Eddie Smith project well as CBs. Saban may view Josh Jobe, Xavier Williams and Jacob Copeland as Nickel, Dime and/or Safety prospects. Eddie looks pretty versatile too (long arms, btw).
We're very much in play for Surtain, Campbell and Griffin. Even if we miss on all three, we'll still be a'ight. Saban got dis.

Agree. Smith was the one I wanted and realisticly thought we could get! Cake is good, icing will only make it better with PS2 or Campbell. L$u ice cream flavor will be great on that cake!
